If an asteroid is going to hit earth what can we do to prevent it earlier this year NASA answered that question with the D.A.R.T mission and for the first time we manipulated the trajectory of a celestial body this is a huge step forward because it now tells us we have the capabilities to defend earth if there is an asteroid headed towards us so we well not fall to the same fate as the dinosaurs!
This capability could mean that the human race overcomes an extinction event in the future and that makes me very happy
