funny thing is that ichigo's quincy side was showed from episode 1 and then multiple other times in the serie, we know quincy can absorb spiritual power and ichigo only start to see gost clearly after paying regular visit to the dead girl from ep 1 + stil in ep 1 when rukia give him half of her power to save his sister he somehow drain it all leaving her powerless.
Later in the first arc we see him being able to feely share powed with uryu to defeat a menos grande and even absorb it's energy blast without explaination and beyound the undestending of rukia that's suposed to know about shinigami
He called Ichigo 'my son' because he's the fatherof all quincies not because he's his dad

I don’t know if this is a spoiler or not but please tell me am not the only one that feels like I have see Ymach throughout the bleach episode. Like if u look closely he looks like someone I think might be but am not sure so, yeah

Ichigo’s mom was a Quincy and his dad was a soul reaper. So ichigo is half and half
Did you know that yhwachs name has been given to people who gave him letters to this name and how his name resembles to the Hebrew God name yaweh from the old testament.
To add my other theory, his name represents the letters of each God which deals with how his full name become God Awake in translation to his name being yhwach.
The original gotei 13 from the past were serious and how they respected the rules of being a captain and their responsibilities as a soul reaper captain.

20:45 you have to remember that during the previous battle quincys couldn't yet steal bankais so it was sort of easy for the first generation of captains to get rid of them compare to now. If they had that ability back then I think the results would have probably been the same as now.
Things are going to get even crazier from there.
Did you know Kubo only fully designed the original Gotei 13 recently and released their complete appearance a couple weeks ago in anticipation of this episode. We did not get a full reveal of the original Gotei 13 in the manga when it first came out, only barely visible silouettes of a few captains. There's a speculation going around that Kubo fully revealed the original captains because they might appear in the new hell arc after the thousand year blood war. But then again we got to see an amazing flashback of them this episode. So maybe no, we might not see them in the hell arc. But a season with them would be fantastic and I can't wait to see how the original vice captains look like, the shikais and bankais.
I can't wait for you to see the origin story of Ichigo, his mother and father.

yhwach is the quincy king and also the father of all quincys it means that ichigo is his ''son'' too because ichigo have the quincy blood from his mother but ichigo didn't know that his mother was a quincy
i know this is a show, and i understand that they did what they did cos storytelling and length, but that being said, they turned Ichigo less smart..
i mean the logical thing to do, would be, leaping from quincy to quincy and killing them, so the big man losses all his underlings… but no, he had to go to the top dog and basically achieved nothing…

When Yhwach said that the Gotei 13 died alongside the Quincys 1000 years ago, he was basically referring to how soft Yamamoto is, and how his old, bloodthirsty and savage ways died after he killed off the Quincy and how he became a shell of his former self. I hope we get more screen time of the OG Gotei 13, their zanpakuto designs were insane!
