  1. Ibrahim Khalil-ul-Allah..
Ibrahim (alayhi as-salaam) wanted to free his people from idol-worship and rid them of myths and legends. He asked his people about these idols, as Allah Says (what means): "And recite to them the story of Ibraaheem (Abraham).
When he said to his father and his people: ‘What do you worship?’
They said: ‘We worship idols, and to them we are ever devoted.’
He said: ‘Do they hear you, when you call on (them)?
Or do they benefit you or do they harm (you)?’
They said: ‘(Nay) but we found our fathers doing so’" [Quran 26:69-74]

Then he explained to them that they should not mindlessly follow others like dumb animals and clarified for them the ultimate reality which is that they should worship Allah alone, in Whose hand is the dominion of all things: "He said: ‘Do you observe that which you have been worshipping
    You and your ancient fathers?
Verily, they are enemies to me, save the Lord of the ‘Aalameen (mankind, jinn and all that exists),
Who has created me, and it is He Who guides me.
And it is He Who feeds me and gives me to drink.
And when I am ill, it is He Who cures me.
And Who will cause me to die, and then will bring me to life (again).
And Who, I hope, will forgive me my faults on the Day of Recompense (the Day of Resurrection)’" [Quran 26:75-82]

The father of Ibrahim was one of the idol-worshippers. He used to carve them and sell them. His father’s disbelief troubled Ibrahim, so he singled him out for advice and said to him: "O my father! Why do you worship that which hears not, sees not and cannot avail you in anything?
O my father! Verily, there has come to me of the knowledge that which came not unto you. So follow me, I will guide you to the Straight Path" [Quran 19:42-43]

But his father did not respond to him, rather he threatened to stone him and forsake him. He said: "Do you reject my gods, O Ibraaheem (Abraham)? If you stop not (this), I will indeed stone you. So get away from me safely (before I punish you)" [Quran 19:46]

So Ibrahim had no choice but to leave him, and he said to him: "Peace be on you! I will ask forgiveness of my Lord for you. Verily, He is unto me Ever Most Gracious" [Quran 19:47]

Ibrahim continued to ask for forgiveness for his father and to ask his Lord to guide him, but when it became clear to him that he (his father) was an enemy of Allah, he disavowed him and stopped asking for forgiveness for him. Allah says (what means): "And Ibraaheem’s (Abraham) invoking (of Allaah) for his father’s forgiveness was only because of a promise he [Ibraaheem (Abraham)] had made to him (his father). But when it became clear to him that he (his father) is an enemy of Allaah, he dissociated himself from him. Verily, Ibraaheem was Awwah (one who invokes Allaah with humility, glorifies Him and remembers Him much) and was forbearing" [Quran 9:114]

When the people of Ibrahim persisted in worshipping idols, Ibrahim wanted to prove to them in practical terms that these idols could not cause harm or bring benefit, after his preaching and teaching had no effect on his people: "Then he cast a glance at the stars,
And he said: ‘Verily, I am sick (with plague). [He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan feast)].’
So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease).
Then he turned to their aalihah (gods) and said: ‘Will you not eat (of the offering before you)?
What is the matter with you that you speak not?’
Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand" [Quran 37:88]

Ibrahim broke all the idols except the biggest one, which he left so that they could ask it who had done this: "So he broke them to pieces, (all) except the biggest of them, that they might turn to it" [Quran 21:58]

When they came back from the festival for which they had gone out, they saw the broken idols and they accused Ibrahim (of breaking them). He said to them: "Nay, this one, the biggest of them (idols) did it. Ask them, if they can speak!" [Quran 21:63]

Because they knew that these idols could not speak – for they were inanimate objects – they said to Ibrahim: "Indeed you [Ibraaheem (Abraham)] know well that these (idols) speak not!" [Quran 21:65]

When they admitted that these idols could do nothing, Ibrahim said to them: "Do you then worship besides Allaah, things that can neither profit you, nor harm you?
Fie upon you, and upon that which you worship besides Allaah! Have you then no sense?" [Quran 21:67]

When they had exhausted all lines of argument, they resorted to the use of force and said: "Burn him and help your aalihah (gods), if you will be doing" [Quran 21:68]

They gathered a lot of wood and started a fire which had great sparks and flames, then they threw Ibrahim (alayhi as-salaam) into that fire.
He said, "Hasbi Allaah wa ni’am al-wakeel (Allaah is sufficient for me and He is the best Disposer of affairs)."
So Allah saved him from it and made it coolness and safety for him, and foiled the plot of his enemies: "We (Allaah) said: ‘O fire! Be you coolness and safety for Ibraaheem (Abraham)!’
And they wanted to harm him, but We made them the worst losers" [Quran 21:69-70]

After saving Ibrahim from the fire, Allah commanded him to leave Mesopotamia and migrate to the Holy Land in Palestine.

Then Ibrahim stayed in Palestine for a while, then he returned to Makkah for an important reason. Allah had commanded him to build in Makkah the first House to be built for the worship of Allah.

So Ibrahim undertook this task of construction, and his son Ismail was lifting up the stones to him. When the walls grew higher, Ibrahim stood on a rock, and this is the Station of Ibrahim (Maqaam Ibrahim) which is to be found in the vicinity of the Ka’bah. Allah says (what means): "And (remember) when Ibraaheem (Abraham) and (his son) Ismaa‘eel (Ishmael) were raising the foundations of the House (the Ka‘bah at Makkah), (saying), ‘Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us. Verily, You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower’" [Quran 2:127]

When Ibrahim built the House, Allah commanded him to call mankind to perform the Hajj, as He says (what means): "And proclaim to mankind the Hajj (pilgrimage). They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, they will come from every deep and distant (wide) mountain highway (to perform Hajj)" [Quran 22:27]

Then Ibrahim offered this great supplication for Makkah and for those who live in it: "And (remember) when Ibraaheem (Abraham) said, ‘My Lord, make this city (Makkah) a place of security and provide its people with fruits, such of them as believe in Allaah and the Last Day.’ He (Allaah) answered: ‘As for him who disbelieves, I shall leave him in contentment for a while, then I shall compel him to the torment of the Fire, and worst indeed is that destination!’" [Quran 2:126]

Then he prayed for himself and his descendents, saying: "Our Lord! Accept (this service) from us. Verily, You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.
Our Lord! And make us submissive unto You and of our offspring a nation submissive unto You, and show us our Manaasik (all the ceremonies of pilgrimage — Hajj and ‘Umrah), and accept our repentance. Truly, You are the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful." [Quran 2:127-128]

Then he prayed for the people of the sanctuary, that Allah would send to them a Messenger from amongst them, who would call them to worship Allah Alone. He said: "Our Lord! Send amongst them a Messenger of their own, who shall recite unto them Your Verses and instruct them in the Book (this Qur’aan) and Al-Hikmah (full knowledge of the Islamic laws and jurisprudence or wisdom or Prophethood), and purify them. Verily, You are the All-Mighty, the All-Wise" [Quran 2:129]

Allah responded to the prayer of His Prophet Ibrahim. He made Makkah a place of security, He blessed its people with fruits and sent to them a Messenger from amongst themselves, who was the Seal of the Prophets and Messengers, Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam). All praise and thanks be to Allah.

After Ibrahim, Prophethood remained with the Children of Israel for a long time, until Allah sent Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) from among the descendents of Ismail as a Messenger to all of mankind, and commanded him as He said (what means): "Say (O Muhammad): ‘O mankind! Verily, I am sent to you all as the Messenger of Allaah …’" [Quran 7:158]

Allah commanded Muhammad (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) to follow the religion of Ibrahim, as He said (what means): "Then, We have sent the Revelation to you (O Muhammad saying): ‘Follow the religion of Ibraaheem (Abraham) Haneef (Islamic Monotheism — to worship none but Allaah) and he was not of the Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, disbelievers)" [Quran 16:123]

Ibrahim’s advice to his children was to adhere to the religion of Islam and follow its commands until they died. Allah said (what means): "And this (submission to Allaah, Islam) was enjoined by Ibraaheem (Abraham) upon his sons and by Ya‘qoob (Jacob) (saying), ‘O my sons! Allaah has chosen for you the (true) religion, then die not except in the Faith of Islam (as Muslims — Islamic Monotheism)’" [Quran 2:132]

  10. When Jibreel came to aid Ibrahim, He said Allah knows my situation, let be Allah's will happen. In contrary Jesus quastioned Allah when he was on the cross by saying Why you forsaken me? acc to the bible. That seems lied about Jesus to me and every body who uses little bit of logic. Prophets never Quastioned the will of the one who send them.

  11. When Ibrahim peace be upon him told his father “ I’ll ask Allah to forgive you” means by his father Embracing Islam because Ibrahim knows that Allah may forgive all the sins except KUFUR ( Blasphemy). Some of the Muslim sinners will be punished in the Hell fire and some Allah will forgive their sins but even those who are punished in the Hell fire will come out and enter Paradise because they died as Muslims as believers in Allah’s Oneness and all of Allah’s prophets and messengers . If Allah forgives Blasphemy then Blasphemy is equal to Islam and this is impossible.

  13. Know my dear brothers in Islam, that the sin leaves a trace in the heart of the doer as was narrated in the books of hadith. The Prophet, peace be upon him, told us that when a believer commits a sin, then this sin would leave a black dot on his heart. If one repents from that sin then his heart would be cleansed from it, however, if one commits more sins, then this black dot would expand until it covers all his heart. This is what is meant in Ayah 14 of Suratul-Mutaffifin.
So dear brothers in Islam, do not stay away from repentance even if the sin is committed time after another, because the sincere repentance from a sin clears the heart from it.
We do not say that the repentance of one who commits a sin after having been repented of it is not accepted. At-Tirmidhiyy narrated the hadith that the Prophet, peace be upon him, said: <<The majority of the children of Adam would commit sins, and the lucky ones are the ones who repent from these sins after committing them>>.
Brothers in Islam, prepare yourself for the Day of Judgment, the Day in which the mountains will turn into dust and the oceans will be lit in a blaze and dry out.
Remember that Great Day, the Day when no soul shall be able to benefit another in the least (with the exception of the intercession that will take place by the Will of Allah), and the entire matter, that Day, will be with Allah.
On the other hand, do not despair of Allah’s Mercy, even though your sins are numerous. Ayah 53 of Suratuz-Zumar means: [O My slaves who have transgressed against themselves by sinning! Do not despair of the mercy of Allah, for Allah is the One Who forgives the sins and He is the Most Forgiving and Most Merciful].
So do not say Allah will not forgive my sins and will definitely torture me in the Hereafter because of the enormity of my sins. Believing as such is forbidden. How would you know what Allah willed for you on Judgment Day? How would you ascertain that Allah will definitely torture you? The torture of Allah is so severe; however, Allah is also the Most Forgiving and Most Merciful.
This, however, does not mean that you consistently commit the sins relying on the Mercy of Allah and feeing safe from the punishment of Allah without seeking repentance.
On the other hand, one must not despair of the Mercy of Allah and claim that Allah will definitely punish him for his sins, this is also sinful.
My dear Muslim brother, in order for one to be safe from these two sins, one has to be between these two extremes. When one commits a sin, one must be fearful of the punishment of Allah and at the same time be hopeful of the Mercy of Allah.
Dear brothers in Islam, one must repent immediately from a sin whether major or minor. Do not look at a sin as being minor and not repent from it; one must repent because he is disobeying Allah. Therefore, one must not look at how small or enormous the sin is, rather, one should think about whom he is disobeying. So, rush into repenting from both major and minor sins by having the intention of not committing them again and having remorse for not obeying Allah, the One Who created you and bestowed upon you the countless endowments.
Dear brothers, repent and have in your hearts the firm determination of not returning to those sins before you are taken away by death. Ayah 8 of Suratut-Tahrim means: [O you who believe, return to Allah with sincere repentance so you may be forgiven by Allah and admitted into Paradise that has flowing rivers].
If one’s sin was by leaving an obligation, then one must make up that obligation in order for one’s repentance to be accepted. Likewise, if one’s sin was that of depriving a person from his rights, one must give that person his rights in order for his repentance to be accepted.
If a Muslim brother holds any form of grievance against you for instance, if you had sworn at him or taken his money unjustly, then you should liberate yourself from these sins today because the situation on the Day of Judgment is intense; It is a Day when the person flees from his brother, his father and mother, partner and children.
If one owes a right to a person and dies before handing the rights without a valid religious excuse, then the oppressed takes from the good deeds of the oppressor on the Day of Judgment; and if the deeds taken are not enough then the evil deeds of the oppressed are taken and given to the oppressor, consequently the oppressor is then thrown into Hellfire.
So dear Muslim brothers, repent to Allah before death. Repent my dear brother, because death unveils your secrets; the Day of Judgment reveals your actions, and the torture collapses your covers.
