I would never trade this guy..

OK Guys, there has been plenty of discussion already this off-season, about the surplus of defensemen in the Habs system right now. They already have plenty of left shooting defensemen in their system, and even with guys like Joel Edmundson possibly on his way out of town. They still have too many. What will the lineup look like to start next season? Will Arber Xhekaj play in the NHL? Will one of the young defensemen get moved in a deal?

The articles that were in the video were screenshots from Habsfanatics.com, I highly reccommend you to check out this site for further Habs News,

  1. I really like Harris; however your point about his similarities to Guhle are right on point stylistically, the biggest difference is Guhle has a mean streak in him as well that sets him apart and increases his value. Xhekaj however brings an element we haven’t had in years, all those years playing Boston and getting pushed around we would have killed for a guy like this, and on top of that the kid can play hockey! He has to work on a few things, become more selective in who he fights and when, but I agree that it would be a huge mistake to move this guy. For what it’s worth I don’t think it’s a mistake that Hughes will make! Happy Father’s Day buddy, hope your boys and the wife spoil ya! lol

  2. Great video bro I totally agree love our boy ,only thing I say is barons the odd man out not Harris. Even though he's right side he's the guy who doesn't show the fight on boards and in front of net .

  3. Agree 100%. I'm offended anyone would even suggest he start the season in Laval or heaven forbid get traded. When we had Shea Weber my only regret was that e couldn't have had him in his prime. Well here we go folks we got us a young Shea Weber, maybe a little tougher even. With so many small skilled players you need a couple Xhekaj's around.

  4. Honestly, if a team is ready to overpay for Xhekaj, I’ll listen carefully. He’s not as tight in defense than people think.

I’m not saying I’m putting him on the market, but you have to listen to every offer.

  5. The thing is (with the trade talk rumors) you might be able to get a great haul for him.
Yes he is young, but are you going to be able to get a lot for him later on? Maybe yes, maybe no?
Would you be able to get anything for him (or have him actuay able to play) based on his physical style of his play?
    Only time will tell.
But on another note, you say don't trade him, trade a guy like Edmundson.
    How? Where? For what?
With his salary and term left, how is that going to be able to be done?
