It is rare that an artist goes as left field as Bowie does on Ziggy Stardust, while remaining both palatable and ambitious
in other words I like it a lot.

five years is one of my favorites 😢
Great reaction! Wish you could do more David Bowie albums. I saw him 3 times in concert😊
It’s definitely not his best imo. Don’t get me wrong it’s great and so iconic but when it comes to just the musical content I prefer other albums of his like Aladdin Sane, Heroes, Station to Station, etc…
david bowie more like david arrowie
You should definitely check out Low. My favorite David Bowie album for sure.
Hang on to yourself seems sonicly so mich ahead of its time. It reminds me of songs like Blister in the Sun by Violent femmes of the late 80s
Such a wonderful album, I really hope you end up checking more of his work, he made so much, some bad, but a lot of it good, there's something for everyone!
Second vinyl I ever bought. Love this album
I highly recommend checking out Bowie’s “Berlin” trilogy- Low, Heroes, and Lodger. He did these in collaboration with Brian Eno around the time he was living in Berlin while recovering from his cocaine addiction. They’re incredible, lightning in a bottle albums which toe the line between rock, pop, and ambient.
I love Suffragette city but it really reminds me of Back in the USSR.
Honestly, Ziggy is the perfect album, it tells a story that's interesting, it's short, it has no bad songs on it, it flows cohesively and is also made by one of the true greats of Rock music.
My top 10 albums ever🥺I’ve just clicked, I’m scared
Didn't the caption originally say"this classic album is other worldly"🤨
This album is schizo gold, kanye west on the cover, 5 years announcing the ‘death of rock’ and the birth of punk (therefore the end of the world), all the weird lyrics about headaches and new love
Haven't watched yet but really excited, LOVE bowie and love brads videos 😊
Fun reaction! Try the follow up, Aladdin Sane, I think it’s a better album, heavier and a bit more avant-garde. Bowie hits his untouchable 70s stride….
One of the first lps i bought, i was 13 years old and was so happy i listened to it every day for a few months
Although Bowie's sound spans several genres, this is the album I recommend to first time Bowie listeners. So incredibly iconic 🌟
Wipers has to be done
Brad you pause too much
Ziggy Stardust is far from my favorite Bowie record. I much prefer The Man Who Sold the World, Hunky Dory, Station to Station, Low, and Blackstar.
Eating distracted me, otherwise nice reaction 🙂
Can I dream with a Tom Waits album in the future? One of the most creative and unique musicians out there.
I would love to see you listen to some Beatles stuff. Especially their last 3 albums.
Albums like this remind me why I was one of those 'le wrong generation' kids
"Least favorite song: Sufragette City" WTF????????????????
you weren't sure you'd enjoy one of the greatest concept albums of all time ??????
What an overrated record
Controversial opinion but Lady Stardust is actually my fav song on this album, its such a beautiful arrangement on piano and his vocal performance is absolutely Stellar
1. Would've been even better if Brad had listened to the ZIggy-related non-album tracks (definitely, Sweet Head and Velvet Goldmine, and, dubiously, John I'm Only Dancing and Round 'n Round)
2. "Pink Monkey Bird" means anal sex recipient, well he did say "church of man love"
3. The Starman chorus is a bit of a Harold Arlen lift – It Ain't Easy was done better on the live BBC session where Dana cuts through – "Just watch me now" is a Lou Reed reference
4. "This little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed at home, I could make a wild mutation as a rock and roll star"…
5. Pure Bowie = phrases like "leper messiah" and "sucked up into his mind"
With David Bowie’s Songwriting & Vocals along with Mick Ronson on Piano Melotron String Arraignments and His Other Worldly Guitar Solo make Ziggy Stardust Bowie’s Signature Album
Respectfully you suck
Station to Station is what turned me onto Bowie. I'd heard everything before it and really enjoyed it, but there was something about this recording that sealed the deal for me. Give it a ride!
