  1. I had violent retribution in mind for the man who violently raped me when I was a child. That's natural. Acting out on it wasn't possible, however, because I have a conscience so I took a vow to remain non-violent. He had also raped a number of other children in town and finally ended up in prison where he died young, in his late 30s. Learning about his death was liberating for me. It felt a little bit like justice.

  2. Sexual abuse is such a complex kind of abuse. It leaves one's head turned upsidedown. It takes you on a different road that the one meant fou you. It dictates every aspect of your life. To be in your own head at eight is soul destroying for a child. From eight year's of age until the grave the memories don't fade.
