  1. Even if we’re high up the curve or not, just the fact of this being accessible to anyone with internet is amazing and I can’t wait to see how it’ll be integrated into daily life and tasks in following years if we’re low on it

  2. I know that things will change very soon very dramatically. Wasting time with fear is the last thing on my mind. Thinking about how it will change/evolve/divert your work, workflow, work environment etc. that's how one should look at it. Humans will still be living things with morals. Well, maybe not all, but most. And society will still judge based on a moral system Just like how the music industry has changed, so will many others now. And yes, major companies did hurt over it, but for many smaller bands it has also become opportunity.
Fear? Try curiosity and looking forward to the new possibilities coming up.

  3. I agree with you. I don’t think you’re wrong; I think we’re at the bottom of the curve. I also felt (and still feel) unsettled somehow following ChatGPT experiences. Interesting times ahead…

  4. Didn't he make a video mocking the vpn services ads by dissecting the flawed misleading scripted lines a while back now he's actually sponsored by them and reading said lines perfectly naturaly? 💀

  5. Tom, this video was the best you ever made, and it opened my eyes and helped me a lot! I will test the coding skills of chatgpt tomorrow at work and I will report back. I promise! Thanks for the video.

  6. I am far more excited/scared about chat bot than my very smart engineer coworkers. I don't know if am being over optimistic or if they just don't appreciate the potential.

  7. Good to know I’m not alone with the feeling of dread. I’m a software engineer and used to be excited by new technology and thinking about the future. Recently I’ve been feeling deeply nostalgic about the old days and trying to get away from technology and spend more time in nature.

  8. My main worry is that this kind of tools are going to increase the standard speed for solving problems creating excessive pressure on employees. No one is thinking “nice, with this chat GPT I can let my programmers work only half a day so that they are more relaxed and creative”. We are already at availability and speed levels above our limits. This will make it worse. Unless real creative and original work is valued more, I see a problem. Now I have to go and rethink the exam I have give my students in a week a make it Chat GPT proof .
