Wanted to dig into the Zoom MultiStomp again – I’m really quite surprised by how good some of this stuff sounds in such a bargain pedal?

I’ve decided to make it possible to grab both my Helix/HX Stomp bundles (the expression bundle with freeze presets has always been separate) – https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=CCTNL7P2XSQDC – I will then email you a link to both bundles!

  1. I have been using the Zoom MS series of pedals for over a decade. There is always one on everyone of my boards. The MS-50G is truly the "Swiss Army Knife" of pedals. Zoom, if you're watching this, it's time for an update to the line. We want pretty much the same pedal, but with updated effects, a better UI, more processing power, IRs, and a headphone out.

  2. Pedals are getting quite expensive these days, I have been gassing for a delay and reverb pedal for my amps. This may be an option in the loop, maybe?! IDK menus diving isn’t my thing. Sounds nice.

  3. I have recorded 2 instrumental albums with the zoom G3. Great sounds and amp simulations and super easy to use. I also tried it on my real amp but it didn't work as well there, with a lot of tweaking it would work I think but with my stompboxes I have my desired tones within a few minutes. John, kudos to the great channel, your lessons and guitar playing are a great inspiration!

  4. I got a zoom g1xon just for the fx loop, particle reverb and all that drone stuff. I do take it for travelling just because it can run off of batteries and I absolutely hate cables. Zoom and my katana mini and guitar with wireless units and I’m happily playing for hours.

  5. I really think you should swap it for the MS70 CDR. its the same pedal but no amp or cabs. just effects ( a lot more of them than the ms50) and also the ability to run in stereo.

  6. The Zoom MS 100 BT has been around for about three thousand years or so. Stereo I/O plus Blue tooth.
One option I utilized was using the ms50 to split a mono guitar signal to stereo and then run that into the MS 100.
I guess you could go crazy and put the zoom MS 70 between the others…

  7. I love the MS-50G. 2 wishes: Proper MIDI capability and interface (I think you can change presets with the USB MIDI but you also need an adapter like the Disaster Area micro.ghost), Effects loop.

  8. I bought the Zoom MS-70CDR 6 years ago for general purpose FX work.
Since then I was GASsing for the Zoom MS-50G
I didn’t want to mess with the firmware (it IS possible to swap features between the 70 and 50).
So this year '23 I finally managed to gather the spare Shekels to get the 50.
    I’m very pleased with it.
I particularly like the character of Zoom’s ‘auto-filters’.

  9. I’ve had and have all the best pedals money can buy, but this little pedal can really do everything I need, mod, delay, and verb wise. It works fantastic with acoustic guitar as well. Cool little pedal to take when you don’t want to bring a whole pedalboard with you, and really fun to play through.

  10. I have both MS50 and MS70CDR. The MS50 is always in the trunk of my car as a just in case backup. As a multi instrumentalist I often have to carry a small guitar rig as well as a trumpet and a sax for jam sessions. The MS Pedals fit in the gigbag, In one hand I carry a DV Mark little Jazz Amp (only 6,9Kg), guitar gigbag on my back, sax bag in the other hand and trumpet bag under the arm. Done! But there are so many (better sounding) options today. I prefer to use my HX Stomp. I also have a NuX Mighty Plug Pro, which sounds better than the Zoom and you can predetermin an order and number of presets you can scroll through. And I also have the NuX MG30 (basically the same sounds as in the Mighty Plug Pro but with a more convenient UI + IR import.
