  1. ….naaah. My D700, Fuji s5 Pro and GX85 might be bulky, but they can:

    > Carry multiple, replaceable batteries.

    > Never give me worry about a software update being forced onto me, removing features or causing unforseen glitches.

    > Not interrupt my workflow with notifications and calls.

    >Allow me to operate the camera without having to look at a screen or fiddle with touch screen adjustments which also don't work if it's raining and water gets on the screen. My D700 in particular has good weather protection and every useful setting assigned to it's own button. I can shoot in the pitch black dark and know exactly where to put my hands.

    >Give me a viewfinder- allowing me to frame my subject better.

Ultimately my phone camera on my bog standard A53 5G is a nice backup/snaps camera that does well enough for me.

If I want higher quality images I'll use a dedicated, high spec tool for the job.

Cool as a concept, but it won't catch on. Just my opinion though.

  3. Smartphones are trying to be professional cameras, but why don't professional cameras try to incorporate a smartphone into it like a detachable smart screen?

  4. Because we definitely need more people everywhere capturing life on a ridiculously priced camera phone rather than just focusing your efforts on just experiencing life. Who needs companionship anyway, my phone is my best friend, family member and continuous supply of dopamine.

  5. Ridiculous, camera phones take decent photos that are mainly used to share with friends & online etc, so if you want anything better then you might as well by a real camera…..

  6. if they had a Mi to E-Mount, I AM BUYING ONE REGARDLESS OF THE REST OF THE PHONE. I have so much emount glass that would be so fun to use with the phone, imagine a 200-600 g-oss on a phone
