loving the Galciv content! Not that Stellaris was getting stale, but an injection of fresh galactic genoc…I mean fun happy strategy… feels great! π
You should try Terra Invicta game. I feel like its your type of game
I'm enjoying this new game's content a lot, especially the Ship Building mechanic which makes me think of classic spore π
Like this better than stellaris in a few ways.
did the same with military starbases and the soldier tec wich gives you 3 free fighters on every defence …. its pritty insane
I must resist the urge… I MUST RESIST THE URGE….
Mindragon these nuts across your face.
I feel great shame.
@8:28 Hold on i recognise that event from the last game, are they recycling some of these anomalies?
Galciv IV war is instantly won when you research Antimatter Bombs. The AI tends to deploy bombers (6-10 health) and frigates (20-24 health) en masse with 3 cruisers or battleships to tag along. Most Beam or missile salvo ability unlocked early on is highly unreliable and the larger ships will soak the damage. But an Antimatter Bomb deals 12 damage to ALL ships in the enemy fleet at the cost of 1 antimatter. 2 salvos of this will wipe out 70% of the Ai fleet and at that point you will always win the engagement.
This is doubly busted as the minimum turn for a shipyard to construct a ship is 1 turn for all ship classes. That means it takes the same number of turns for a 1000 manufacturing capacity shipyard to construct a bomber (~30 manufacturing cost) as it does a dreadnaught (~900 manufacturing cost). That single Antimatter Bomb just deleted 10 turns of the enemy AI shipyard production.
10/10 would cheese again!
I tried "survival galactic challenge" , ever war and dread lord one by one, it was not fun AF at all, first all civilisation was against me, and rapidly attacking me from all angles and all sectors, after surviving, i started ever war and managed to survive while destroying few civilisation, then i did dread lord and draginol search and won through prestige .
I used YOR Singularity
Basically, you're playing space Switzerland
Would buy it in an instant if they port it to mac
It;s very cool to see some galciv4. It is a breath of fresh air. Stellaris is a good but having other games can help spice up the channel.
looks like it would be a cool game but i abhor turn based anything, really. much better writing than stellaris
17:18 So in Stellaris, we have a planetary super computer AI who likes erotic stories, and another dig site about a vore civilization. Then in GalCiv IV we have a race that procreates with other species using ovipositors. Just lovely.
Haven't played gal civ since 3. Dang.
You got to recreate the B5 Battle of the Line at Arcea
"You will soon be filled with our eggsacks" is quite the war declaration lol
I still have Galciv2 and the expansions, and still play it on occasion. I tried galciv 3. It just didn't hit the same as 2 did with me. How do the mechanics compare? Is it just flashier graphics. The planet screen looks worse, just some random hexagons in the ether compared to a background of a planet map representing where the buildable tiles were.
