  1. Having had a few gaming buddies, including 2 dayz buddies, pass away, the ending really hit home man. Been playing since 2012 arma 2 dayz mod days. Ive recently joined a community and met soo many amazing people. It has literally changed my life at 48 years old.

  3. Aww I hope Kevin and his younger brother have a good time in DayZ – I know what it's like to lose a gaming buddy, it can really rip the heart out of playing a game, there's a couple of games I just can't bear to go back to playing solo. Kevin sounds Finnish or Icelandic maybe?

  4. Yeah, I really felt it having gone through the same, it can be awful. What can be worse is sometimes you don't even know – they just stop logging in and then maybe sometime later you learn they died. I had a thing like that playing Neverwinter – one of our guild just stopped and we just figured they had moved on, though it was a bit sudden. about 18 months later the account logs in and starts saying HI, and we were like "hey how you been we really missed you etc etc" and we got a message that said it was "Toran's father, and that she had died 12 months previous" – we didn't even know it was a young woman which just made it worse, just 23. Apparently she had left instructions with her account details and passwords etc for her Father to make sure gaming friends were told – she'd been ill for a while, but he wasn't able to face it as it was like losing her all over again. I'm a guy and was 45 at the time and I don't mind admitting I cried, I'm sure many of us did; it can feel like losing family.

You should always remember to "play nice" even if they are rivals, you never know what they are going through IRL.

  5. I love these xclusion.. How do you get so much gear so quick??? I've over 5k hours in game, both vanilla and moded, and even with 4 of us as a squad we never get this much gear in 200 hours, let alone 100

  6. Why tf do you narrate everything thats about to happen right before it happens in game?! There is no way to feel any kind of anticipation or excitment when shit happens in game if we already know whats about to happen… It sucks watching something, being told whats gonna happen and then just waiting for it to happen… Apposed to watching something, not knowing what happens next and then being stoked when something big & great happens.
