So my guess on the lore of the Mimicer is that sigma labs were experimenting on the animals on the island but it went wrong
(as always) and created a parasite that infected the son of the family, slowly making the son mutate and eventually killing his own family as the Mimicer said " This thing inside me. Its controlling me. I can't help myself " and I know it is the son, because you guys found the dead bodies of the parents and the dog can't speak. Remember, IT IS A GUESS I DON'T WANT TO SPOIL IT.
