2. What a brilliant idea and execution for a game. Exploring an open and truly dynamic world that is cold and unforgiving. No bullet sponge enemies, no damage numbers, just a man, his shitbox fartcan of a car, and a load of reality defying alien tech. I'm hyped

5. OMG it was the damn tourists who were throwing resources at me?!?! I never saw a tourist when it happened but everytime it did I would freak the F out because out of nowhere a plasma scrap would literally hit me in the head or go flying by my face and I had no idea where it was coming from.

6. That ending for the video genuinely sent a chill down my spine in the best way possible. With Final End Times in my ears, I was smiling ear to ear like a madman as I added the game to my cart. I can't wait to play it. What an in-depth, excellent review! 8. I love this game so far I just wish you can scrap any object for resources not just selected items

   Also its crazy how a AAAA game can't compare to the quality of this game…ubisoft you have fallen so much also this game is miles better than SS KTJL

12. I hope this comes to Xbox (it won't). I played The Outer Wilds based on your recommendation. It's simply incredible and I was bereft after completion. I hope one day to pick up Pacific Drive…Death Stranding 2, and Final Fantasy Rebirth!

14. I love game's that give the player agency to discover and learn by themselves through subtle clues and gentle nudges here and there, outer wilds, zelda BOTW do a great job with that so it looks like I'll be picking up pacific drive at some point. Thanks Ralph!

    At this point of the video it feels like to me this game was designed to accommodate gameplay elements that are usual aim to increase the immersion of a VR game.
    It was either planned to be a fully VR game but during the development they decided the change it or they (publisher and developer) plan to release a VR version in the futer.

18. I had a run in this game where I had been looting a junction for a while and the storm was closing in. I was out of gas and had to run on fumes I could scavenge from broken cars around me. My car was absolutely filled to the brim with a ton of resources I needed to build and research new stuff so I decided to call in the gateway. Immediately booked it towards the gateway and riiiight before I reached it my car ran out of gas. I quickly scrambled to find some gas and fueled the car to go the few meters I needed but right as I was about to cross the border of the gateway, my vehicle protection was compromised and I died of radiation. Lost almost all the resources and multiple pieces of my car. 10/10

20. I have never had an experience like this video game. For those unfamiliar, you drive around a procedurally generated zone, looting as much as you can before driving on to the next one. When it is time to go back to base though, you have to activate a portal and madly dash toward it while a fortnite style storm closes in on you. Holy fuck is it the most intense experience in video games. The anomalies popping up around you, the obstacles you have to dodge, the constant feeling like you are going to destroy you vehicle. It is absolutely intense and for that alone it is worth the price.

I'm having fun with it, my immediate small gripe would be that the current car horn sounds foreign like almost identical to my moms old Fiat back in the day lol, these older American station wagons had much different sounding horns, It's on my mind because I currently have the car quirk where the horn honks every time I open the rear hatch, I find the quirk funny tho and haven't bothered fixing it just yet. Great game overall otherwise.

27. I’ve had one gripe with this game. Just one. I too had a long road trip where on the first zone I got absolutely obliterated. To the point I used all my resources (that I generously stocked up for) and realized I couldn’t turn around. And pushed on. I tried to go to a new zone that wasn’t on my trip because I thought I couldn’t turn around maybe because I had already used the gate way in the zones I was going thru. Found out quickly that the zone I turned off into was a dead end and my run was just over. I didn’t feel like I learned anything. I didn’t get a huge pay off of repairing my car to health on the way. Which I did up to that point I was almost all the way fixed. And I just had to abandon the run. It felt terrible and I almost stopped playing the game. I get time wasters to prolong the length of the game a little bit. But to outright have zones that are dead ends seems like a waste of resources and a lack of respect to the players time. I trucked thru and started again the next day and now I’m almost done with the game. I love everything else. But that felt like a huge middle finger to my time because I essentially spent about 4 hours on that run all for me to have to go to a menu to start over. Couldn’t even die or make a real mistake.

31. Apparently some people think that when womans speak is enough to call something woke. Especially if it is an older scientist/director kind of woman. I guess woknes is really really old and have much incomment with christianity. Does this mean that anti woke people are really progressive?

32. Core gameplay aside, one of my favorite things to do in a survival type game is just hoarding stuff and these guys definitely knew what they were doing when they included the highlight option lol

33. Game runs like trash , had bad save mechanics and i have to restart the game completely because of a campaign breaking glitch , fuck this game, terrible recommendation. Started to fall in love with the game until it made me waste my life and a bug blocked me from progressing through the story.

35. Well damn… talk about a positive review 😀
    I fired this up trying too go in as blind as i could.
    I really think they had alot of play testers on this, because alot of times i was overwhelmed and i ask out loud "what is this" "what does that do" "where do i" etc and almost everytime oppy or others tickled me with a little dialog like a friend in back laughing at your first time playing.
    It was so well done, nothing looks like anything from other games, it really is unique.
    They throw so much at you and pause, then you get kinda of whats going on… then you get another feature or game mechanic.
    What the hell is this now, uhh thats creepy why is this thing doing this… what happens when i…..

    Driving around in a banged up car constantly thinking "i have no idea whats going on" 10/10 😀
