Indiana Jones and The Great Circle feels like an all-timer, one that will age just as gracefully as the original film trilogy has.

  1. OMG, there is almost same level of ghosting shadows as in Stalker 2. WTF is going on with todays games? S2 have Lumen, IJ have….. what? RT? Those technics was meant to be milestone in game graphics, yet these smear and ghosting worse than baked lighting and dynamic shadows. And AI seems VERY WEAK part of the game, and should not be skipped. This AI is similar level as in SW Outlaws.

  2. [X] Doubt
Only people that will buy this are Disney fans with Stockholm syndrome. Disney/Lucasfilm/Lucasarts won't get a single Penny for me, no matter the quality of their product. They've shafted the consumer for too long, it is consequence time.

  3. As far as performance …

Let's not forget that you could get well over 100FPS max settings 4k on New Collossus with a higher end machine from that era… a claim that very few games over the last 15 years that we've had 4k available can claim.

  4. Like a Sony game? What? Show your ass a little more why won’t you. You’re basically talking about very specific Sony games. Also very interesting that this game is praised mostly for “vibes” and “cinematics” with terrible stealth and simple puzzles which just happen to be the majority of the game. Christ.

  5. I'm trying to get into the game but it's so slow. I don't need constant action but so far I have encountered like……5 enemies and one hit from behind killed them instantly. Other than that I'm just wondering around looking for shit. I'm going to push myself to play more to see if it hooks me

  6. I’m still early in the game, but so far? The game it keeps bringing to mind for me is Deus Ex. Like, the original Deus Ex.

“But I really believe that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is an all-timer, and we’re gonna be talkin’ about it, like, 20 years from now.”

“Like, I really believe in this opening release window, there’s gonna be some umming and ahhing about how well the hub areas work, and how dumb the enemy AI is, and whatever. But in 5 years time, no one’s gonna give a fuck about any of that. And all you’re gonna see are YouTube essays either nostalgia-thirsting—like, ‘tHeY dOn’T mAkE gAmEs LiKe ThIs AnYmOrE’—or doing, like, six-hour deep dives into why the Great Circle’s level design is so masterful.”

“It’s hub-based exploration that rewards your curiosity. It’s side-quests that are deeply folded into the main narrative. It’s non-linear level design that gives you so many entry and exit points, littered with tools that allow you to adopt different gameplay styles, moving seamlessly between stealth and combat and back again whenever the situation calls for it.”

Tell me that doesn’t sound like Deus Ex. And that one’s definitely an all-timer for me. I bet Skill Up is right about this being one too.

  7. This is a game I wish I watch as a film rather than played. I'm at the end of Egyptian chapter, and I was liking the game up to the blind giant boss fight, the following sand and scorpion stuff that the game doesn't explain how you can beat, and you can't skip cut scene. I want to skip this cut scene, please, because it's slow the game so down.

I'm kinda disappointed by the game play so far. Feel too much Heavy Rain stuff, with you having to turn the key, all unnecessary stuff. The combat also not very good so far. Hopefully the rest of the game will contain some excellent set pieces, chase sequences and some actual good gun play, because I haven't played any of that so far.

It also has a terrible checkpoint system, not because there aren't many checkpoints, but because you can't go back to a previous, and sometimes you move to fast forward, or you do something stupid like riding a zipline into the middle of the Vatican in your Indy gear, and every fascist is after you. Yeah, you can rollback save, but it doesn't roll you back to the second soonest checkpoint, but 30 minutes -1 hour away from where you was. Very annoying.

Also why is that stamina bar in the game? Fuck that shit. The game better pick up after Egypt, because right now I'm active angry at the game, and it's game play.

  8. I didn’t think much when it was announced, but MachineGame hit it out of the park.

The gameplay from the exploration, combat and puzzles are all very balanced. And Troy Baker is perfect as Indy.

This is a quality game worthy of the films.
