I stopped the house build for today. I went and bought all the materials for a woodshed and randy the carpenter is coming over to help me start the framing of a 16×8 much needed woodshed. You all know we are building a house off the grid and we are having our fire place installed next week and our main source of heat will be coming from burning wood so we have to have a place to keep it dry and out of the weather. Building a house as a family has been such a great experience and we have learned so much. Come join our journey in the off grid world.

R2 is a handy bloke to have around & you two seem to work really well together😊 In regards to all your projects, it’s your place, you do it however you want Sean😃 The wood shed is going nowhere. Take care & cheers 🐨🦘🥰
Ha b e Brandy show how easy it is for to use that leaf blower it seems lightweight. Wood shed is very important to.
🤗👍❤
Think you been hacked again Dutch !!
Very nice wood shed!!!
Yep, jump to different projects. Over time all will be done. 🙏👍🇨🇦😊
This should be titled "the homestead that Randy the Carpenter built with a little help from Dutch".
Your Homestead, your rules, your needs! Don't worry about those whinging about your need to change your plans; they need to go on by (after viewing the video without commenting).
You do what best for you . No need to explain. Your doing awesome
You don’t have to feel bad about having more than one projects going at a time. I do that a lot home. Stay safe and positive
New drinking game, every time Dutch says I think you all understand or I think you all get it. Take a drink!
you really didn't stop the home construction as the storage for the heat source is just as important as the storage for Black water and the line bringing power in. but nice video anyhow.
There are something’s that have to be done before winter. And having enough dry wood makes it all more important for you. You have to keep it dry. And if you don’t have a drying shed, it’s not gonna be easy for you without one. I hate leaf blowers especially at 8;30 a.m. That when the lawn people here at the apt complex. Unfortunately I don’t have my own property anymore. Your doing priorities right. There’s plenty of time for the rest. You don’t have to justify your changes in plans to anyone but your family. They are the most important ones. Great video
Looks good but needs a directional nozzle on it
I wouldn't want to live off grid. City gal at heart . ❤
We have lived in our house for 50 yrs. And there are projects that still have to finish.
Its ok to build your place in what order you want to & need to build it in. No one has the right to get mad at you for doing it your way the way you want to.I like how you are doing it.
Good job for a day! We are older so there are projects all over the place. Love watching the progress. God bless.
I haven't hear of that brand of blower I have an EGO brand I am very pleased with it it has a 56V battery
Hey! Hey! Where are your safety glasses?? You get a little rock in your eyeball you will wish you had them! And lets face it you kinda are an accident waiting to happen. ☺🤣😂🤣 Oops did I say that out loud?? LOL
YOU NEVER FINISH A PROJECT!!!!!
Yep time to prepare for winter
The woodshed getting done made the most sense; you have someplace now to store the wood instead of tripping over it.
Winter waits for knowone. Got to be ready
Question: why is it far from the house.
With snow, and cold weather you have a good walk to get the wood.
You do what needs to be done when it's needed according to what's going on at the time and no one should say your wrong. Like you said in past video's is that the house will be done for this winter.
It’s your place. So you get to decide what to do when. In the end it’ll all get done. We built a tiny house cabin that became our guest house. Then we built a 50 x 50 x 18’ Quonset hut type barn. Then we built the house. No animals except our dog that lived with us. But slept on the back enclosed porch. All that took us a year and a half. Mostly weekends as we both had full time jobs. House was two stories. We drywalled the upstairs but jibed finishing it out as by then we were a bit worn out. Had the metal roof put on too. But. Our kids were in college or married by then unlike y’all with little ones. I like the way you are doing everything but getting help as needed. On top of building two channels. The expose’ and now you tube college! May God continue to bless you and yours and give you strength!
Now that is a well built woodshed
A ratchet strap works wonders when you have to pull walls straight when building
get 'er done!
