  1. It's Luxor in Las Vegas at 10x the price. I've always found Luxor creepy too.

The shops have vibes of Hong Kong Street markets. And not in a good way.

I guess you pay for the location??

  2. we got a free upgrade from a garden room to one of the fireworks view rooms in the main tower like you showed here. It was amazing! We were very lucky to be able to stay there.

  3. I am absolutely obsessed with the Incredibles Mid Century Modern theming. It's a very upscale, adult sophisticated theming vs. a more kid friendly theming of some of the other resorts. So fun. And one of my favorite characters is Edna Mode, who is based on the iconic Hollywood designer Edith Head. She steals the show!

  4. I have never thought about the contemporary resort as a place that I would dream to stay at, but you have changed my mind 😭 oh my gosh! The park view 🥹 what a dream!!

  5. The Contemporary has totally shot to the top of my Disney bucket list after this video! I’d sort of assumed the Contemporary would feel outdated, but the lobby and room updates are just stunning. Major midcentury modern vibes, which I LOVE in my own home decor & wardrobe. Now the Contemporary is a must-do!

  6. Such a great tour, Quincy! Next time you do a deluxe or DVC resort tour will you pretty please check out the extended evening hours at MK?! We’re going in a couple months and are really curious if it’s still as chill and empty as when you checked out the EPCOT extended hours ☺️

  7. I stayed there back in the early 90s 1996 way before any renovations also stayed there for my honeymoon moon back 1998.
    Just cannot afford it anymore.
It was also the very first and only resort on Disney world property when Disney world first opened in 1971. I really feel they should have left the vintage original feel look back at photos from the 70s it was so retro. It was awesome But the change I don’t care for .

  8. One word… BLAND! But of course, to each their own. I'm sure this is right up the alley of some people and that's great! But it's a hard pass for me personally. So bland, no charm. I can think of so many beautiful rooms with much more charm and magic than this one, for the same price! Still, I appreciate the review as always!

  9. As someone who stays here twice a year for about 4 weeks we really dislike the new room theming. To us it looks so cheap and tacky so sadly I doubt we’ll ever stay there again. The bathroom looks nice though.

  10. The insistance on IP for EVERYTHING is beyond annoying. I'm sure that it's corporate disney making imagineers do this. Because I refuse to believe that there are NO original ideas left at WDI!
Also we ate at Steakhouse 71 because of reviews like this and it was BEYOND disappointing. Food was blah, steak was almost cold, lukewarm at best. My daughter and her fiance both had the same reaction. Nice but NOT worth the money! At least California Grill was better.

  11. Really enjoyed this review!! I would love to know the room number since this is a bucket list resort and I want to request this kind of view! Also Disney hotel pillows…where can I order these?

  12. We stayed here around 1991, end of January. I had joined a club, I think it was called the Magic Kingdom Key Club, a Disney club which offered discounts on resorts, food and tickets. We stayed five nights in a tower room about six floors up facing toward the campground. We had a meal deal, breakfast, lunch and dinner…total cost..less than $2k. Fortunately my hubby loved it as much as so we bought a DVC membership in ‘95. Yay! Now I have stayed at most of the resorts. We seem to never get to reservations in time to do the Grand Floridian. Goals!

If you don’t like themed rooms I recommend Disney Springs. Very low key on the Disney themes.

  13. I went here for the character’s breakfast and honestly can’t believe how much it costs to stay here. The animal kingdom lodge is cheaper and is actually amazing. The contemporary was very boring aesthetically. In my opinion. The monorail is awesome though. So that’s the only plus here for me.

  14. Has anyone else slammed their hands or fingers in the new sliding bathroom doors? When you pull one door closed the other door slams shut too and better get your fingers out of the way or you’ll have a smashed finger like I did. I just got home and X-rays showed a fracture. Hopefully this will serve as a warning to others that stay there. I’m particularly worried that children could get really hurt. So be careful with the double sliding bathroom doors in the Contemporary Resort.
