Why are we here is actually a reference to red vs blue. The first episode starts with one of the the characters asking "You ever wonder why we're here" and it's set in a desert canyon.
Edit: forgot to mention that "It's one of life's great mysteries" is also referenced in the description of the book

  4. What a tremendous amount of work this must’ve been, just looking at all the covers! It just started but I already love it! Longform content is a good way to break up a bunch if shorter videos in a row.

  5. My thing, I love the idea of books in the sims 4, but I wish they made more of an impact on sims. I feel like romance books used to make sims flirty, is that true? It would be cool if they get more noodles from books or got better at writing specific genres based on their reading preferences. Moreover, it would be awesome if they could recommend the specific books they’ve read to other sims, Imagine if sims had book clubs (which I suppose you could do with the club system. Moreover, it would be so cool if they could have book readings at the library, which could work similarly to yoga or meditation classes. It would also be cool if you got a pop up with the sims thoughts on the books after reading it and it gave you book likes and dislikes.

  6. I understand the level of obsession, I've never given much thought to the books so this was very interesting. Love the long form content, impressed by the book covers, such effort! I realize I must buy the same cheap books over and over bcos I haven't even heard of some of these!

  7. I just realized that Derek McMillan is one of the pre-made sims from Hendord-on-Bagley. He lives with his husband Ian Moody. He does have the bookworm trait and level 5 writing skill. I just ever made the connection before to that sim and one of the children's books before.

  8. I don't usually comment on youtube, but this and the sims iceburg video have been absolute bangers to watch so I had to comment on how good they are, thank you for all the work you put into these long form videos it shows and it's amazing.

  9. This video is giving ~Jenny Nicholson~ and I love it (Gemma Collins voice)!

Also, all those mystery books makes me want like, a murder mystery game pack or something. That'd be so fun (if it worked)!

  10. i don't know if anyone's said this yet but Special Interest Activated: at 2:23:14 the author(s) and summary are a reference to the game Bioshock Infinite! the author(s) are referencing Rosalind and Robert Lutece- who in the game are the same person from two different timelines. the most well-known quote from the Luteces is the first part of the book blurb!

i honestly had no idea there was a Bioshock Infinite reference in ts4 even after all these years so this was a delight to find out in this delight of a video

  11. Desperate Housewives is the original PLL. It is so worth the watch but there are a lot of dated 2000s tropes and jokes that can be problematic. If you can ignore that crap, it's a pretty enjoyable show. Very unserious and has some of the most hilariously quotable moments.
