  2. 4:10 do you know spiders molt their exoscheleton, so maybe it is not a dead spider but just their outer layer that got too tight and there is now a slighty bigger spider somewhere. Anyway Arteza makes some really good stuff. Sad that they got into Nfts. like that you get a slight variety of supplies too to try few different projects. The glitter tho.. oh you are going to find it everywhere forever. And Those sticker ideas are really cute!

  3. I love calendar idea! But I know I'd have no control and just sit & open every door at once! I went out in my yard and cut my own wood slices. I'm going to try to paint woodland animals. I love the rustic, country Christmas type theme.

  4. You can use the acrylic paint with the pouring medium so you have a lot of colors to do the pouring… that's my thought of it. But I would never buy a filled one. Prefer to spent 80 dollar on something else of arteza …

  5. Pour Art Tip: Mix the pouring medium with a paint color and some water (1 part of each). For bigger pieces, coat the canvas in a background color (most people start with black or white, but anything goes!), then pour your colors on top and tilt like you did on the small canvases. I would love to see you try this technique on larger pieces or different objects. I've done vases, jars, pieces of wood and boxes with this technique.

  6. Not to be that commenter, but I'm actually really shocked they charge $80 for this. You could take $80 into Blick and easily pick up double the amount of student-grade stuff (which most of this is) that you like and would use…and still have money left over for lunch. The packaging is cute, but cute packaging isn't worth $80.

In looking at their site, the acrylic paints are less than $1 apiece, the pouring paint medium isn't listed, but the craft paint to mix it with is way less than a dollar, the brushes are around $2, and packs of three paint markers are $6. Even the watercolor halfpans are around a dollar. All put together, 24 days of this stuff would be less than $25. The value just isn't there to be charging $80 for it.

That said, I do like what you've made with the limited supplies, and your sticker designs (or potential stickers) are super cute.

  8. I have to say, and I don't mean this in any bad way, but acrylics, oil paint and so many more art supplies than glitter are also bad for the environment. As long as you don't put it down the drain and recycle properly, it is fine. Plus if it's on an art project, it is used to something good, right? There is also biodegredable glitter, which is made from aluminized cellulose.
I just had to point out as I see this comment so much on makeup too, but there is just so much more worse than a dash of glitter. We just gotta be mindful of where pigments and shimmers come from, by who (ethical issues are important too!) and how to use them up and toss out responsobly.
