Remember to use your detector to scan rocks first before mining. It lets you pick what you need a lot faster, if you are short on something.
Things you do a speed run for to build up: small crusher and mars truck first. you get ten times the resources out of rocks than you can by hand, and every rock has as more than one type of resource in it.
Printer, storage cabinet, and bed are all sort of optional at first. You had to pick them because you had to relocate your base from the original survival capsule so that kinda limited your choices when it comes to spending materials points. That is three points though, towards that small crusher. I would lastly point out, that since you need the materials points anyway, don't do any more mining if you need something, go grind stuff. 😀
Crusher PROTIP: you will usually end up with a lot of PV panels extra. They can be ground down in the crusher if you dump stuff in the hopper. Crusher give you 75% of the mats.
and OMG… use the plant tray. 😅 love ya man, but that was painful, one at a time.
Potatoes can be used to make fertilizer before you get the auto generate tech.
Also, you can just grab a battery directly, without going through the interface. Took me a while to figure that one out too.
21:37 The little fans on the outside can be ground up too. You have to hop to get the top one, but they do give you stuff.
You might be able to add oxygen tanks into your rover, this increasing it"s oxygen capacity
Aluminum keeping u up at night? Could he because you don't grind enough bases for Aluminum plates! Grind more bases, and get a good night's sleep! 😀
You get tons of screws too, so u need less iron
You will have fun with the domes. the trees are nice. I managed a supreme effort and a LOT of water to fill a large dome with pine trees, and just left it that way. The corn crops will fit a LOT of plants into a dome, so once you do that, you have all the food you will ever, ever need.

Unlikely anyone would waste Mars precious resources on large livestock anytime soon. It is likely we would generate meat artificially like we can on Earth using Petry Dishes
