I Moved the Double Main Line Track and Expanded the Freight Depot Yard in Railroads Online!



Hey everyone and welcome to Railroads Online! Today we are moving the double main line around the freight depot and turning it into a functional location. I sort of forgot that we actually have to pick up and drop off goods here and can’t just block all traffic to do so.

  1. @KAN Gaming – when your getting a bit OCD, 🧐 πŸ€” try distracting thoughts away from the impulse to keep backtracking "pun not intended".
    Maybe it will be easier to do things in order, put a yard rail down the opposing sides of the building at 12:00 then connect it to the main line. Like a passenger and other goods drop off…
    Remember:
    1 Structure eg. Bridge, building, sand coal wood & water tank.
    2 Yard rails.
    3 Main line.
    Then everything will be where it's naturally supposed to be…

  2. double tracks are great, i just wish the switches worked better eith the 45* crossover. you can't make proper gridirons to do X's so you can switch in both lanes. Right now if you put down a corssover, and then connect the turn lines from 4 switches to them the straight parts don't line up and it needs to be excessively wide to compensate, and you still end up with weird S bends that aren't good at speed.

  3. Hey does anyone know how to fix my inability to start loading cars. No matter what I try or what type of car it is I cant get any cars to load with material. Any help is appreciated, and yes… I've lined the cars up correctly and am using the right cars. πŸ™Œ

  4. Now with the geolites thingies to measure grade and in props they have the text sign. You can label your grades on the track!!πŸŽ‰

    Also your β€œonly locomotives past this point” idea is possible as well!

  5. For money you can bring in your friends so I think Expansion is way better because otherwise you grind money now to get it anyways once you have a few 'employees' and the faster you build all up the sooner you can let them loose

  6. Now that train cars don't usually spawn in the spawn yard anymore, (They spawn closer to the player now.) I wonder if new worlds will still have that 3 lane spawn yard.

  7. i discovered that when you buy cars, and im assuming locomotives as well, they now spawn near you instead of back at the freight depot, also it does seem that the proper driving mechanics are implimented, or at least with betsy

  8. Your mixed car set hauls too much water to the cattle, you can split the water between the wheat farm and cattle and keep the wheat products flowing while you haul straw and wheat to the cattle without making an extended water haul to the wheat farm.

  9. i would recommend getting the RGS Class 47 4-6-0 as the next loco coz everyone got the class 48 as the second loco as soon possible at least back in the early days but if you are focusing on the cattle line first perhaps another D&RG Class 25 (Montezuma) or either of the Betsys
