  1. My mom made, and now we all make, a similar salad. It calls for 1 pound macaroni, 4 small cans of tuna, red onion to taste (1/4 cup), chopped green olives (good without too, hubby hates them), and four chopped deseeded roma tomatoes. Just enough mayo to moisten, salt and pepper. Because of all the tuna, it serves as a meal on its own. A great lunch "go to", if you are going to have a busy week. So fun.

  2. We have no closed-in porches, so in the winter, when it's cold enough outside, we also use the car or truck. They work great as emergency refrigerators. My husband and son are hunters, so it's been especially handy when we've needed to store pans of meat, waiting to be broken down for processing.

  3. I love your videos. My husband doesn’t like tuna, but I think I’m going to use this recipe and use canned chicken. I appreciate that you share your time and recipes! Happy Easter to you and Mr. John

  4. Nothing better than a macaroni salad, I could sit and eat my weight in that stuff. When you said – 35 and cold outside, and here I am in Louisiana sitting around 83, isn’t it crazy how far different our temps are? Happy Good Friday and Happy Easter to you and yours🌸🌷

  6. Hi Friends, I’m going to have to try that. When I first saw you make this sometime back I thought Tuna in Macaroni Salad? Now I’m thinking why the heck not. It looks absolutely scrumptious! I want to wish you, John, and your family a very Happy Easter 🤓🤗💜✝️ thanks for listening

  7. I made Tuna pasta salad today (AGAIN! HA). This one is a cold salad. She, the boss says the working Men go for it. I think it's the protein. It's filling. That's why she doesn't have us put that one in half pint clam shell containers. I like it, but it's like potato salad, it's better when it sets over night. Anyway, it amazes me how it's a staple occupation for us! Less in winter! 🙂 NUM! Yay, Michigan!

  8. I have to hand it to you Sweet Renea. I don't know how you can write a recipe down for things like this salad. I've made the majority of the salads you make but have never used a recipe & to even write one down would be tough. I could tell what all veggies, pasta and such that goes in but amounts, especially the dressing? I pull the same thing I always chewed at Grams for when trying to write her 'recipes' down, enough of this to make the color look right, until the consistency is right, whatever seasonings you all like…😂 I hope you & your family have a very blessed Resurrection Sunday!

  9. Yes Renea, as you said in this video, I DEFinitely could get a big bowl of the macaroni tuna salad and sit in front of you tube As I don’t watch TV so I’d be watching Littlevillagehomestead! and thank you for the tip about adding more mayonnaise the next day I wondered why my macaroni salad that I’ve made a handful of times in my life has been dry! I never knew about it soaking up the mayo… and the car tip wow is that fabulous New Hampshire is still cold enough to do that and I have a tiny kitchen so wow is that a helpful tip thank you so so much!Thank you for all your tips…You make everything less daunting, thank you! Love everything you do! Have a wonderful Easter weekend with Mr Wayna and family😘
