I LOST my trout fishing bag What's inside my NEW fishing bag

Recently I filmed a “What’s inside my trout fishing bag” video in time for trout opening. About 2 weeks later, I was fishing for redfin at Eldorado, when I lost that bag.
I put it down on the ground, but forgot to pick it up. When I returned a few hours later, some luck, or dishonest person had picked it up. Despite checking with the local police station and sharing numerous posts on social media, the bag is long gone.
I am not too upset, thanks to various sponsors, in particular Tackleclub, I have a shed full of spare lures and was able to put a new trout and redfin fishing bag together pretty quickly.

  1. Keep using this bag Robbie as it’s easily seen. Talked about you today as my Son caught a big Carp. Then I took it off the hook 🪝 and he pleaded with me to hold it which he did and threw it straight back into the Lachlan 😳 your supposed to deal with it first Buddy then put it back in just like Robbie 🫣 anyway my two Grandchildren thought it was hilarious as our School holidays just started 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  2. My goodness your beautiful Holly girl is aging us all !! She was so little when we first met her !!! So sorry about your bag , everything that happens to you blesses someone else so perhaps they were needy . If nothing else it is a reminder for all of us to be more mindful . I hope your new bag brings you joyful and productive fishing !! God bless you you and family

  3. Theres 2 schools of thought, honesty vs finders keepers, hopefully it was someone with no money who couldn't afford all those nice lures, but generally poor people are more honest than rich people

  4. My experience of handing lost property in to the cop shop hasn’t been great. It’s ranged from annoyance for wasting their time to suspicion that I’d stolen the items 😑 Never been praised for doing the right thing.

  7. Hi Robbie, I was sorry to hear that you had 'lost' your fishing bag, I would hope that who ever found your bag , that they will in time hand it in to their local police station. Over the years I have found a few lost wallets and other items, and handed them at the police station closest to the location where I found the items, so as they could be returned to the rightful owners, I hope this happens for you. cheers buddy, take care and stay safe. 👍

  8. Hi Robbie. It was me (Dimitri) that dropped the little CD1 Rapala with the Slickback. They’ve served me well in the smaller streams.
Sorry to hear that your tackle bag wasn’t rightfully returned, mate.
I remember once when I was fishing a river, I located a Stradic on a pflueger rod and thought to myself “why would someone leave such a cool setup here?!” Upon returning to my car, I found a letter on my front window and managed to returned it to the owner. He was so grateful and a really nice guy.
It’s a shame when people do this. There’s no respect or honour in that type of human behaviour.
Hope you catch plenty of trout this season on those new/stored lures, looking forward to seeing you do so mate 🙂
