I just flushed $500 down the toilet!

I just spent $525 on a belt repair that failed within 45 miles. Then had to pay for it again. Plus a tensioner! Rusty and More!

  1. Most road service guys are not that knowledgeable. The number one thing is see on the dd13 dd15 etc platform is oil pickup tube cracks and o ring failure that's says bye bye to engine real quick. Bad designs because its plastic. If your truck has near 250k or 500k i would change them out. I'm very knowledgeable on those engines hit me up if you have any questions.

  2. Hi Darrel. You should take this Cascadia back to the thief that you got it from. You've had more problems with it in 2 months than anyone should in a year or more. The quality of the Detroit Diesels have gone down since Daimler bought them out.
You and lil Rusty stay safe..

  3. I came to TX. in 1981, I was 22-years old, in February of 2020, I- semi, retired at 62, was not going to pass my dot, physical. I spent 2020 each day, 2-times, walking 55-minutes and lite exercise. Early morning and late evening. Breathing exercise, is great, at the ending of the exercise,15, 15, 15, 15, = 60, squats. done in 55-minutes.
YOUR NERVES, control the brain. ALSO, you're handwriting as proof. Your eye is a muscle. I lost over 60 pounds. Good, but not the problem, I had to manage my, B, sugar. I study all year. Dr. Eric Berg.
I drink no milk; I drink a lot of if distill water. I take 4-supplements as I get up in the morning.
By keeping my B- sugar control, I feel like 17 or 24. Your stomach acid, will be in short supply.
As a teenager, your brother could, belching, to wake-up the neighbors. That is stomach acid.
I sleep great. I'm working on a big project, something I had notice on the road.
I want you to look at, Convertible Security Notes, in videos.
1984, I started buying home with no money, 3-homes. I bought a pick-up for free, before seeing it, or the owner knew he was going to sell. IT GOT ME TO WORK FOR 4-years, then sold it to a needed friend.
All my life I could see big mistake company's developers made or could have made 5-times the return. I never had money! but that's O.K. Today a person could go to California, buy a F.F. restaurant at 10% of cost.
run it with 4-people. Be their own security, force. All pre-made food to go. You make the money when you buy. Smart people grow your own food, own water source, heating and cooling.

  4. I give you credit for being able to organize maintenance/repairs stuck on the road. High markets for the qualified shop/ mechanic that advised you about the problem. A top mechanic is worth their weight in gold they kinda inspect the whole vehicle. Did they give you any more pointers what to watch for in the future. Many experienced drivers/ mechanics/ shops have a book about pre maintenance for this vehicle. I'm making a supportive comment nothing negative just to be clear clutch trucker. Everyone feels the frustration living in today's world. Have a most wonderful Rusty and clutch trucker.

  5. Over it owner/operator must be worth it or you wouldn't still be doing it. I had some rent houses and same thing, the potential didn't always match reality but all in all it worked out. I was watching an old video or yours when I was looking at buying a new microwave. Not much change over 4 years.

  6. Man I sure feel your pain. Just had a drive tire have a slice taken out in the sidewall yesterday. Ughh $829. Luckily I have tire pressure monitoring system on all the truck tires so it let me know I was losing air. That was better than finding out by seeing tire piece flying all over the road and ripping a fender apart.

That sux having to track down parts. That tension sure can cause a problem. It seems like everytime we have a good week we get hit with repairs 🤦🏻‍♂️.

  8. Don't even start me on "Designer/Engineers!" After working for a multi-national Hotel Company as a Building Engineer, engineers (small e) should not get their first pencil until they have spent at least 3 years in the field!

  9. Too bad Khai didn't look at the tensioner and know what was going to happen down the road! What a P.I.T.A!!!
Hope you get a spare belt? The problem with a gear operated water pump is when the seals and bearings go out, the coolant ends up in the crankcase. Keep on Truckin! Be safe.

  10. Arent you old enough to retire? Do u really need the headache of this so called new truck. I hate to say it but all that money you spent on changing sleeper on Coronado could have saved money by leaving the sleeper original.
