I had to go GREY MARKET for this one

The year just began, and I’ve already started adding to the collection! What did I get? Well, I’ll give you a hint. It’s my 3rd Casioak!
Check us out online at: https://www.LongIslandWatch.com
Other than that, you’ll have to check out the video to see what model.

Thanks for watching!

  1. Very cool! But doesn’t count. It has to be purchased in 2025 so we fully expect you to purchase a new watch today and show it to us when it arrives. 😅 You and I are old enough to remember old school Anime when they were on TV (when TV had only 7 channels or so) like Robotech and Voltron (the original – although the remake is pretty good also).

  2. I would buy a casio oak only if they made one with the indices easy to read. I would go for this one but for some reason casio does not want to maximize their profits and not available in the U.S. market. 🤮

  3. I still can't get over the near useless black mini screens.

This version looks better than the other hand drawn one.

I do wonder how bad these will look after a bit of wear.

  4. How fun is that? What I like best about this hobby is not knowing what I’ll be attracted to next. So nah, I don’t pursue “grail” watches.

I too went gray market recently. I wanted another Combi bracelet (hands-down THE best for any regular square — and well worth the $100 or so from Pacparts — but check compatibility since not all squares take the same straps.)

Anyway, I was casually looking at squares and discovered one I’d never seen before: a 5610 with a subtle BLUE display.

Not sold in North America, and up until now I may have been the only square fan without a 5610.

  5. Mark I was fortunate to get one almost immediately after release. I’m in Australia & also got mine from eBay but from Japan. I paid just over but got it for $227 USD. Very happy with it! 👍🏼😎

  6. Fyi for anyone concerned about the mineral glass: I put a circular glass screen protector (like what you would put on a cell phone) on my GA-2100 over a year ago and it works great. The watch glass natually sits below the case, and the protector brings it to about flush. Highly recommended if it matters to you.

  7. Fantastic taste, I've been thinking about one of these for a while, but I've never imported something through eBay before, and I had JUST bought a different limited edition white CasiOak when I first heard about this lol. I'm also never sure how a G-shock will fit my wrist until I try it in person, but you've answered that here, thank you!
