  1. used to see a busker in NYC downtown rock a starcaster. the body and neck was beat up like harry perry's guitar at venice beach. haven't seen him in probably 10 years, hope he's doing ok. he could play.

  2. The fact that you arrived at that very thought “you wouldn never buy a guitar out of a pawn shop unless I did this for my work…” Made this video more unique than Anthing you’ve done so far. Props to you and your mind!

  3. "the tone is right in here anyway" XD that ain't true nor false! i play my chinese re-edition Dyme V washrbun piece of crap with some fuzz and a bit of reverb and that delta blues and a bit of ZZ top vibe comes on… it's never a question of the gear, but a question of the player and his skills both sonically and technically… and god knows i suck technically XD

  4. Not a Fender instrument! It is a cheap piece of crap. Fender did not make this guitar. Made in China for sale at Costco! Fender owns the Squire and Starcaster brand. You must be putting us on!

  5. Absolutely. I have an epiphone sg jr with a humbucker in the bridge and that little monster rips. Granted the guy who owned it before me put a bigsby on it and that changed the whole thing. But still for a cheap $250.00 guitar. It one of my most fun to play

  6. I had a chance to buy an original G&L Stratacaster from my science teacher in high school. He wanted $400. Before I could get the cash, Hurricane Katrina hit, and it got destroyed in the storm.

  7. I decided to get back to playing guitars after my SG and Jaguar was taken from me by a crazy ex long ago. I happened to see this Starcaster for very cheap. The action was over a quarter inch and neck. I took it, adjusted the truss rod, adjust the action and and adjusted the bridge. It sounded pretty good after that. Sold it to get my Epi Dot. It's basically a rebranded Squire that was to be sold in commercial stores like Sears and walmart.
