  5. This brings back memories. Back in the late 60s, me and a bunch of my friends would go to the Trinity just outside of Ferris TX, where a series of locks had been built with the intention of establishing a shipping route from wherever, to Dallas. We would take every gun we owned, from .22 mag to 7mm Remington and some large handguns. We would go with the intention of blowing a lot of ammo, and when we did, it sounded like an entire platoon mag dumping. Anyway, the gar down there were huge, with a lot of them over six feet. One of my friends snagged one with some nylon rope with a treble hook, and they took it to a local cotton gin where it measured,, as I remember, over 9 ft long and 165 lbs. Man what good memories!

I WAS FISHING SOMEWHERE VERY NEAR THERE 40 YEARS AGO WHEN I WAS 13 YEARS OLD — SAME KINDA MUD TOO — CUT MY BARE FOOT ON A BROKEN BEER BOTTLE BURIED IN THAT MUD – WOUND UP IN THE HOSPITAL GETTING 22 STITCHES — ALMOST SLICED ONE OF MY TOES IN HALF – FROM THAT DAY TILL NOW I NEVER GO BAREFOOT ANYWHERE BUT IN THE HOUSE — NICE FISH

  15. That last cast was garbage … the bait went left into the bushes while the line and weight went where you wanted it to…. 🤣🤣🤣 then you left it to sink to the bottom … terrible !
