I would've been on Victor's side (if humanity is to survive long-term, we have to leave Earth one way or another) if he hadn't known he was going to cause the premature end of Earth in the first place. The other issue with Starfield's world-building: it's extremely unlikely we could evacuate the planet in 50 years, even 130 years from now. It's completely impossible right now. We'd need a fleet of millions of the ships like the one we see at the launch facility here, and we'd need hundreds of similar launch facilities around the world operating around the clock. The logistics alone are mind-boggling. My point is, a significant portion of the population would be left behind to die. That realization alone would spark a war.

ill be honest I've kind lost interest in playing starfield myself but I'm still REALLY enjoying this series. watchin every episode!
100% 9 times out of 10 feel like the outsider looking in. But I’m comfortable with it now. It used to bother me, or make me feel like a misfit, but not now that I’m older and can appreciate the strengths that individuality has given me throughout my life.

Kier Dullea voices Keeper Aquilus. Kier could possibly be considered the first Starborn. He was the actor that played Dr. David Bowman in "2001:A Space Odyssey" The one who, eventually, went through his own Unity and became the Star Child.
Don’t side with either. Kill them both… which is an option later on…
I never step through the unity and never will. Every character I play will kill every starborn. If I could destroy the Unity I would.

Did you know that the recruitable NPC Betty Howser is voiced by the legendary Adrienne Barbeau? Head over to Heinlein I and give her ship parts to recruit her. She is one of my favorites have in combat due to her attitude (equip her with a grenade and any other launcher-based weapon).
The game itself lies in a way … the choice is something different. It's presented as a choice between the destruction of Earth or the ability to travel amongst the stars. The truth is it was what NASA calls "go fever." They rushed the whole discovery, as if there was no way to invent Grav drive technology without destroying the Earth's atmosphere. The NOVA Galactic scientist however had to have fixed the Grav Drives, or every planet they traveled to would have been destroyed just like Earth. That means Victor Aiza destroyed Earth for no reason except he was impatient.
Here's a cool fact: the first time I got to the part where you meet Keeper Aquilus, for some reason, his voice sounded so familiar. After going on IMDB, I realized that it was Keir Dullea who voiced Keeper Aquilus, which is unexpectedly awesome because he was the main character Dr. David Bowman in 2001: A Space Odyssey 🙂
I managed to aquire one of those ships by finding one on a planet that I happened to be surveying.

There are companions in the game who wouldn't really care or who would pat you on the back for siding with the Fleet. Just not Constellation. They're a group of explorers who at the core are in it for the betterment of humanity. It'd be like if you were working with NASA on a exploration mission and in the middle of it you found $500billion in cash and handed it to Al Qaeda. NASA personnel aren't gonna be like "Well, I guess you did what you thought was right." Gonna have to go find the like-minded companions out there.
This is so awesome. I think this is why your channel stands out so much more than so many others. There is actual depth and openness here. I can definitely relate to the loneliness side of things as well as the philosophical inquisitiveness. I wonder if there is a correlation with feelings of loneliness and higher degrees of introspectiveness? Anyways, always a joy to see your videos pop up. You are certainly adding that positivity to our collective experience so thank you for that!!✌🏼
It`s a great reveal. I was wondering how Miranda would react to it. Bathesda really out did themselves in writing this storyline. Maybe this is just me, but I think it`s a bit of self awareness on their part in that in their prior games, you could do anything and become so unbeleavably powerful or I could just as well overthink what they had in mind; who knows.
I've always felt like an outsider, never a part of the "in crowd". As far as purpose, we have to make our own. It may take many years to decide what that purpose is, but it will be the one that gives you your identity and satisfies your soul. If the crowd isn't okay with that…. screw 'em.

Unfortunately I got to the whole universe jumping mission (forget what it's called) and didn't realize how underprepared I was with weapons, ammo and med packs. Got really annoyed and wasn't enjoying the rest of the game enough to go back and replay things in a way to be prepared well enough for it so I just uninstalled the game. I loved where things were going after this reveal in that I really wanted to finish out the main story but I just can't allow myself to spend time on games that frustrate me rather than on ones that I enjoy. Maybe I'll feel the urge to return one day and give it another shot. But it's been watching you through your Starfield journey.
I know you've already finished up your Starfield playthrough, but it would be really nice for you to go back and change your history to save Sam afterall to get to see how you can progress your relationship! So sad that he died 🙁
Actually, if you'd brought someone other than Sam to do repairs on the eye, Sam would not have been there when the hunter showed up, and he would have lived.
something i thought about watching ur playthrough: the artifact was grabbed from Mars right? and then they say grav jumping/using leads to the atmosphere being stripped right? so is that what happened to mars? and if so what happened to those that used/destroyed Mars? is that who the starborn started as? so many places they can take this story
Also, something that bothers me about all this. there's a big colony on Mars still, and Mars has always been barren. Why isn't there anything going on on Earth? If it was doable on mars, some people undoubtedly would have created some type of colony here…
And I keep hearing this sound. I assume it comes from the space suit, but it sounds just like the skeletons from Elder Scrolls..
You're officially ahead of me in the main story now, so I have no idea what is ahead of you (besides the general gist of New Game +).
Although I am about 25 levels higher, so I clearly mess around a lot more than you, despite the chaos, lol.

Even though the Hunter is voiced by Phil Crowley his voice reminds me of Tobin Bell who plays jigsaw in the Saw movies
Love the videos. Funny af, you're hilarious. So, quantum essence… it allows you to continuously use the powers you get from the temples without waiting for them to refresh. Each one lasts 60secs. You can activate quantum essence on the same screen as the powers. Oh also, you can "favorite" you powers onto the quick select "wheel/cross thingy". I always have personal atmosphere, sunless space and gravity well. Try it, it's a game changer 🙌✌️
