2. This reminds me a lot of those fanmade sonic games where people created 2D levels in 3D. Ofc those were quite impressive to look at but it was the same chaotic directionless design. I just personally feel open world and sonic does not fit well together.

5. They should have made the open world area egg man's scrap yard so the "jungle gyms" where parts of giant machines left for scrap, also the level design would work better if it was more saturated and cartoon feeling

7. I don’t care for sonic. I’m not a furry lmfao. But holy crap as a game itself, it looks absolutely horrid it looks like some thing a little kid would make messing around modding a game on a computer in like 2006. Maybe Gary’s mod hahaha but crap

8. Sonic Team needs to get it into their heads that claymation sonic inserted into "real world" textures will always look bad. There is no art direction in this game.

18. Welp…. after playing it for a couple of days, I find myself enjoying the game. Not the best game in the world, but definitely not the worst. It's fun, and overall I'm not sorry I picked it up. It's a relaxing game, except when you're in the cyber worlds trying to pull of that S rank, which is stressful but fun and addictive at the same time, and definitely the best part of the game. It's not a masterpiece, but I would recommend checking it out.

22. I’m having a blast just running around as Sonic but it does definitely feel like a skeleton. But I’m still having a good time. Call me a simple man 😅🤷🏽‍♂️
    But if you want more from a game that just running fast you may be left wanting.

23. You're focusing way too much on the negatives. And the hottest take so far from your video is the characterization of the characters and that they're allegedly boring. For the past decade, Sonic and friends have acted like a bunch of goofballs who didn't take things seriously and just joked their way through the stories. Frontiers decided to be a balance of moderate quippiness and serious melancholy, not too far in either direction. It works. I don't know about the people in this comment section, but I need characters that are serious enough for me to give a fuck.
