  1. It's funny seeing him get basic mechanics wrong that should be easy for a child to do. Like it literally says press B to bandage on screen but he's just talking to himself like "how to bandage? how to bandage? know I at least know how to stab now". Also how is it a "hardcore low budget Battleifield"? it looks and plays infinitely better than Battlefield 1 and this isn't anything close to hardcore. It's so stupid when people cry about games like Verdun and Beyond the Wire being "hardcore" when they are just vanilla unrealistic depictions of WWI. Apparently aim down sights means hardcore to people now.

  2. I definitely understand the issues they have with bugs and performance, but you can’t get more realistic than dying to artillery fire instantly, that’s pretty in character for WWI lol

  3. Just an FYI to anyone looking to buy BF1 instead: I wouldn't recommend BF1 if you want something more hardcore. If you want a more hardcore fps set in an older war, I would recommend Hell Let Loose. Yes, it is WWII, but it's a lot more hc than BF1. I personally really like Isonzo and think if they fixed spaming mortars and made the game more smooth and clean it could be amazing.

  4. It's a game made with the hearts.
On another footage, I was regretting the overwhelming HUD, and the arcade feeling. But knowing you can disable the HUD makes it feel better for me.

  5. I really hope Blackmill’s next game will be an updated complication of all three of their games incorporating all their advances they have made throughout the series plus some new mechanics. That way you can play on the western front, eastern front, or Italian front but have all the same kind of game play mechanics.

I guess the only thing they would have to implement is a mechanic to keep historically accurate squads on the right maps.

  6. I've been having fun with Isonzo but there are a few things I have issues with. One is the progression system, even with them lowering the requirements for some tasks, I still much prefer how it was in Tannenburg with unlock tokens you get just by playing instead of specific tasks that you need to go out of your way (sometimes to the detriment of your team) to complete. Another is the frequency of call ins, especially combined with the narrower maps and the amount of chokepoints, you're pretty much always getting headshake or instantly dying to a call in, they need to be either scaled back in potency or have cooldowns increased. The lack of urgency in the animations is also something, like in the video, guy seems pretty lethargic when putting on the gas mask, but it also applies to reload animations, readying grenades, and other stuff. I noticed it in Tanneburg as well particularly the Mosin had a lethargic reload which, from personal experience, I know can be faster. The final issue is that they made it so you have to cut through barbed wire to advance, but only give like 2-4 locations depending on the map that you can actually cut through the wire, so the entire cutting is pointless because it's just the same narrow chokepoint anyways. You should be able to cut anywhere along the line.

  7. Fair review i have been thinking about picking up Isonzo since i absolutely love Verdum it seems like its similar quality to verdun which i dont mind. I think while to hads its issues i like the franchise for being mainly just different. Most historical shooters play out very similary i find with everyone equipped with a gun that wasnt used with a holo sight that didnt exist (yes i know i am exagerating). So Verdun is great as its more a game of dying en masse with nothing but a rifle wich i actuolly dont mind. I am in AUS so severs here dont exist for most games so the inclusion of bots is a massive thing for me.

  8. I am so offended by this review at the end, mediocre?!
Those challenges are a minor inconvenience, you really can't pass a symbolic challenge?
You don't get everything from the start so that you are not confused by all the new information.
It would be too much if you got the crate from the start!
And the reason why the animatons are boring and sound fx are flat is that they are realistic.
They have a partnership with gun channels to accurately portray historical weapons, their sound and handling.
This is also the reason for why you can't reload an empty magazine.
