I Did An MBA, Kyunki Job Chahiye Thi | Ft. Mihir M | Ex McKinsey | Piramal | NMIMS Alum

Mihir Mehta, currently COO at AltUni by InsideIIM, ex-Kotak, Piramal and McKinsey, started his career at NM College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai.
While his peers chose to pursue CA, Mihir was clear that he didn’t enjoy accounts as much, and so early on in his career, he chose to get into MBA.

After graduating with B.Com, Mihir pursued an MBA from NMIMS. Mihir shares how making a career decision is not always easy, and one needs to factor in their interest areas as well as possible growth opportunities before deciding.
Mihir shares how he wanted to get into an IIM but was unable to get the required percentiles. Getting an internship with Kotak Mahindra Bank, Mihir shares how he put his best foot forward and took on every task as a challenge. 2 weeks into his internship, he caught the eye of the management for his efforts and was offered to take over managing other interns.

Eventually, he was also chosen to play liaison in a project with McKinsey. Converting a PPO at Kotak, Mihir became the topmost successful salesperson across Kotak in India.

  1. Love how this guy is being very authentic and relatable, I could listen to him talk all day! He's a good story-teller. He just points out that for most of us, life just happens and mostly there isn't always a very scientific approach to it while most of us spend a lot of energy to control the circumstances, we should rather look to give our best in whatever opportunity we've got and trust the universe to do the needful
