I Completed Pokemon Emerald's RIDICULOUS Pokedex

Pokemon Emerald is known to have the most difficult Pokedex to complete in the history of the Pokemon franchise… but how hard is it actually? I challenged myself to complete it as fast as possible, all while doing a ‘Living Dex’, where I need to have a complete catalogue of every individual Pokemon – and this is how it went. This video took a lot of time and effort to put together, so I’d really appreciate it if you shared this with a friend. If you have any suggestions for the next video, leave it in the comments below! Have a great day 🙂

  1. Hey this is just an idea but what about finishing all the Pokédex’s as a ongoing series. Start out with R/B/G/Y, collect all 150, do the new glitch for the final one, then take the screenshot of the Certificate they give you in game to a printshop, print it on some nice paper like Diploma paper and frame it. Then move onto gen 2. Since gen 1 and 2 are isolated from all other future gens, might be cool and fairly easy.

  2. For da love of Arceus stop editing screams into YouTube videos. Your voice is amazing for soothing watch after a long day at work, but the screaming jitters everything.

  3. Yeah no, having used and abused the glitch so many times (and just tested it again right now to doublecheck), here's the actual process:
    1) Store the Pokemon you want to clone in your PC and keep an empty party slot for each one (you can clone up to 5 at a time)
    2) Save normally
    3) Withdraw the Pokemon
    4) Talk to the receptionist, choosing any battle mode and two Pokemon in your party
    5) After confirming your Pokemon choice, she will say you need to save your game, click Yes and DO NOT TURN YOUR GAME OFF
    6) After a few seconds, the regular Save UI will appear, asking for confirmation; this is when you turn your game off and on (*do not* press Yes or No, just turn it off)
The reason this works (and the reason you corrupted your file) is because that short pause is actually the game doing a save of your current Party and Bag state, but not the PC.
Fun fact, this can be used to also mass clone holdable items.

  4. People (myself included) complain about mons being locked behind a DLC in the recent gens, but since I'm a sane person and never attempted to complete the dex in gen 3 games I didn't know that it's nothing new. If anything a single DLC sounds slightly better than you have to own multiple games on different consoles to catch em all.
