I Chased a Type of Tornado Outbreak I Didn't Think Was Possible (April 26, 2024)

The April 26th, 2024 tornado outbreak was the largest outbreak of 2024. Several states were impacted, especially Nebraska and Iowa. This video showcases my chase of this historic day as I encounter numerous tornadoes, many of them large and from very close range. I’ve been chasing 20 years, and this is the craziest chase of my career.

  1. As someone who lives in the area these storms happened this day was NOT FUN. In the 25 years they have been around this was the FIRST Tornado Emergency I have EVER been in! I was 5 miles west of the Elkhorn tornado 😰 Seeing the damage the first couple weeks on my way to work was crazy!

  2. This is some the most amazing and terrifying tornado footage I've ever seen. I appreciate the calm, understated tone you both maintain in spite of the nightmarish scenario you're witnessing. Stunning work, and I am in awe.
