Ice is lighter
Would a cage work as the "box" portion? There are a few of those all over Hyrule.
Try using the big fans that are found in shrines
Why not use the float ball?
What if you build the cabin out of hover stones
Now make a STORMtrooper with shock emitters
Try going to a less gravity area to get less weight
Have you tried using the motor and fan blades from the gemimik shrine to help lift the tie fighter? I still can't figure out how to stop the motor from spinning the platform when I use it, but if you could do that, you might get more lift!
Rockets would help with the up
Adding more fans don’t necessarily add more thrust in this game. If you add more than 3-5 fans facing upwards depending on the design. The fans won’t be able to carry its own weight plus other materials. But Nintendo did make an override if it’s just the fans and a steering stick. But after 4-5 fans it doesn’t seem to get any faster

Stop using wood for flying vehicles
Use a shrine steel/floaty sphere for the base and then use a combo of something like skateboards and stakes to make the "wings" more hexagonal
I think in the next update we need more lift power for the fans so that we can make stuff like this actually work
Its better to use a rocket for lift off and fans to keep in the air, thats how i made mine
You could use a korok leaf to connect the wings on the sides and bring down some weight maybe

why don't you change the base for a glider and add some rockets for vertical force?

Try paragliders on either end of a spear-spear. Add 1 fan to the bottom of a steering stick. Blueprint complete
Try scrap mechanic if you love building stuff like this
If you fuse an Octo balloon to a weapon, then attach it to a building, it acts as a counterweight and makes the build lighter

Idea: maybe attach rockets, and make the base outta those floaty blocks that don't fall

Have you tried adding a hoverstone? It helps to pick stuff up that shouldn't be possible. If you put one on Minervas back she can fly(ish)…

Actuall that is not a tie fighter as it is fan powered tie stand for twin ion engine meaning it is only a tie fighter shaped fan powered vehicle until it is given a proper name or the design is changer to be more accurate but it’s still pretty cool
