yep found this one out the hard way. the game won't even launch now. it sucks too because i mostly play games between 11pm and 6am which locks me out of quests with characters that go to sleep at night. i hate that i've lost all my progress and have to reinstall
Can we still time travel for animal crossing but just don’t open Dreamlight Valley until you set it back to normal time. I’m so scared to even try…
That’s annoying. I generally only get to play in the evenings so my game is perpetually at night. I wish you could set an optional offset of the clock up to 12 hours or something
i play on the switch (i know, it’s buggy) i haven’t had too many issues outside of the occasional crash. but the most annoying thing is coming back to my crops not being watered after i water them… like 3 times. then they finally are harvestable.
Iv had that happen with an apple it looked like it had a small lighting bolt in it and it was flashing but couldn't pick it up till I logged all the way out.
I accidentally left my game an hour ahead when I first launched it and have had so many glitches, am playing on switch so not sure if they are due to playing on switch or cause I time traveled the hour back. I can pick up oregano but think stuff isn’t spawning in properly as haven’t had many vines growing in two days and my mining is less frequent. Should I archive and re-download game or have to make new acc to fix? (Also if I archive/make new acc would I loose my ultimate pack items and moonstones?)
Is there any way to restart your character? If so do you start with all of your founders pack items and currency?

I play on my xbox and im ttrying to do my quests and kristoph and ursula are glitched for me ive mad the stall 6 times hoping it would fix but didnt and ive made the sushi and stuff for ursula and the game would say i havnt done it lol hopefuly it fixes its self

You time travel you can’t pick stuff up after going back to normal time
The game devs have said fixing any issues due to time traveling IS NOT a priority for them.
They say it’s not how the game is supposed to be played so they are not looking to fix them I’m early access.
You will be able to pic up the items once your clock naturally gets to the time you skipped to.
It also prevents all flowers growing and fruit growing. My switch was on the wrong time to start the game so there is no way to fix it. I just have to restart but its yet to be seen if i can keep my founders things
I read online to time travel YEARS ahead to get mushrooms for a quest so you don't mess up your spawn for the next day, and now I can't pick up herbs or garlic and my rocks aren't respawning. The specific rocks that I need to get emerald from for the same quest. So I time travelled to 2024…. and I just have to wait it out? Ridiculous. I don't want to restart my game because I have the choco crocodile and I don't want to lose it. I didn't know you weren't supposed to TT. 🙃
I have a different issue, instead of ghost crops that are fully grown, they just dry out and I would have to rewater them but then I realized I fucked up and i tried to reset the time back and forth, even going forward one minute and going back one minute, but no matter what I try I have perma-dried weeds that are irremovable and I even waited until the latest time I traveled to become real time and STILL it was bugged! So the ONLY way to get rid of this issue is to delete the entire game save and restart from scratch. Then I saw a link about Gameloft saying that they did this on purpose to prevent cheating and will not be fixing it at all because they believe it is a threat to their profits and sales and is not a good way to experience the game so in 2023 when the game actually does come out it'll probably playable as online-only game so as long as you are connected to the internet you can still play.
I was in the future for AC, started DL forgetting my clock was wrong, couldn’t use the cloud save or any internet items so I set my clock back to the right time and every farm, Rock, and flower never came back… game breaking for use. Wouldn’t recommend
This game is a very buggy mess
I started the game with another time because of animal crossing and when I changed it back to normal plants didn't grow back and not even stones so I'm stucked and can't continue this game and have to delete it._.
I time traveled without researching, just because thats usually how i play most games. Its definitely buggy, items i had placed disappeared then reappeared, & i had the same issue with harvesting, but i was able to after rebooting the game. Now the memory shard in the Mystical Cave is stuck in the wall. Overall of course its annoying to deal with, but as someone said were basically beta testers so i dont expect it to be problem free. The fact that the game is so fleshed out already + they have official plans for several future updates, the bugs dont bother me compared to how much im already loving the game.
This happened to me too. I time traveled two months ahead and back, so I think I'm going to be stuck for a little while… Nothing is regrowing for me, flowers don't exist in the areas I had unlocked before time traveling… So I'm stuck until the devs fix it.

Yeah I didn’t really know about this and I had my switch set forward when I started and I set it back and I don’t have any fruits or those herbs I cant complete multiple tasks now b.c of this so it’s setting me off

I had problems with my crops, they don't grow anymore and I can't remove.
I have a bug that I can't progress with the elsa cave mission.
I time travelled accidentally because I played on my switch not realising it wasn't set to the correct time (I still play Animal Crossing) and now my entire game is ruined. I'm absolutely gutted. I've spent hours on this and now I don't know what to do.
Haven't even time travelled.
I just get Transaction Error when building Remy's house. Next time I logged on, his house is built but cannot be entered, build sign has gone.
Now, Wall E's garden has done the same. Built, but sign remains. Doesn't work at all.
Same with Goofy's cart in Sunlit Plateau, with a sign but transaction error.
Yeah dreamlight valley has a lot of problems on the switch in my playthrough of the game there are slowdowns crashes music Stuttering text dialogue boxes not showing up forcing you to restart the game etc and now I see that if you just change the date and time you lose the ability to harvest crops this game is in dire need of bug fixes quickly. I have stopped playing the game due to all these problems. like when I first got the game and unlocked Wall.E it proceeded to say to go the next level as soon as Merlin finished talking and it was time for me to go to Wall.E’s level it crashed forcing me to restart from before I unlocked Wall.E the game bug fixes are needed pronto ASAP!
Question: when I started playing this my switch was not synced with the time as I have been playing animal crossing so my time and date are set for approximately two months earlier and few hours behind for longer daylight hrs in game. Will playing this be okay so long as I don’t sync the clock? Or should I sync now before I progress beyond level 25? I haven’t changed the clock since playing but don’t want my game to screw up if it’s supposed to be synced with real time
I accidentally time travelled when I reset the clock to normal time from when I intentionally travelled back in time in AC 😭😭😭 nothing respawns for me! No flowers, no mining knodes, can’t pick crops. Like I’d wait if I could make some money in the meantime but I can’t even do that and I had no idea it could cause this. I’m heartbroken fr 😩 I hope they fix it soon
I time traveled on switch due to needing dream shards after the mother gothral quest. I think this game may be like animal crossing if you get back to the time tou changed it to in real life it will fix. I only time traveled a week.
you can time travel backwards with no issue
I only time traveled 12hr ish in order to not play in the dark (some biomes are SO dark at night) and it caused some of my garden plants to glitch. They won't finish growing. All the other things people saw happened as well but eventually fixed themselves, but not these veggies I planted. It has been days now and I water them constantly and they never finish growing. I can't move them, build over them, nothing.
