  1. Grant: Synergy, we've been trudging through this campaign for two missions with nothing to play but no-build missions. We need a real macro challenge to test our mettle!
Synergy: Yes, microing and Cairne shouting about Kodos have put us all on edge. But we push on! All will be made clear once you kill a Warsong unit.
    Grant: As you say, Synergy.

    Notes!

    * Thrall really does call Grom "Hellscream" a few times in the original game.

    * I really appreciate Grant's praise on this one. It's nice to see your work get appreciated.

    * Pillage has been changed a bit so you get 1 gold and 1 lumber per attack (as opposed to a weird percentage in the original) and it only affect Grunts and Raiders, because why would you ever attack enemy structures with Peons?

    * Divine Shield is actually 75% damage reduction, but in any case, it does mean that the Paladin is practically not worth attacking until it wears off.

    * Upgrades has been tweaked a bit. They're now always split between melee/ranged/armor for all races, and they affect ALL units, including Kodo Beasts and spellcasters. Not super noticeable for the Orc race, but it does make the system simpler overall.

    * AI players send heroes on attack waves at most once every other wave since the system kinda breaks if you send them on every wave.

On a personal note, the ending was absolutely hysterical. I had to reset the alliance for the victory cinematic since it's technically a bug, but this moment will live on in this VOD.

  2. Hellscream needs help was always that way, that wasn't a line-change. I'm also pretty certain they used that delivery of Hellscream to replace most of the instances of Grom in the reforged audio splices.

On the copyright side; if it were for copyright it probably wouldn't be for a motorcycle, but rather another competitor in a similar space. Vehicle copyrights and media copyrights simply don't overlap like that.

More likely it's because of Grom the Paunch being copyrighted by Games Workshop, who is not only a fantasy character, but a large greenskin (he's a goblin, but he's the size of an Orc, think goblin king from the Hobbit movie), and also present in the Total War Warhammer games, which is a strategy game, which has significantly closer copyright overlap.

  3. I love the passion of these modders and Grant teaching us details we missed in the game (didn't knew about the friendly fire triggering hostility).
And congrats to Grant for breaking the end cinematic! XD
    Thanks for the fun! 🙂

Troll: This is da Headhunter, mun! We've neutralized Grom, but there's a wave of Humans advancing on this position. We need to like evac now!

Thrall: Belay that order. We're moving out.

Peon: What? You're not just gonna leave us?

Thrall: All zeppelins prepare to move away from the desert on my mark.

Troll: Uh, boys? How about that evac mun?

Peon: Curse you, Thrall! Don't do this.

Thrall: It's done. Helmsman, signal the fleet, and take us out of this wasteland. Now!

Troll: Warchief? Spirits? What de hell's going on there?

  5. if i remember right from way back when, the reason why grunts don't chop lumber isn't because they're incapable, it's because they view it as completely beneath them.
peons are the dregs of orcish society, those who do not have the savage fighting spirit or magical aptitude to be a warrior of the horde or a shaman/warlock. in thrall's new horde, skilled craftsmen also get a break from the forced labor and peons are actually given protected rights, but back during the reign of blackhand and orgrim (and under the various other hordes, like rend & maim's dark horde or the fel horde of the laughing skull, shattered hand, and parts of the dragonmaw clan), if you couldn't fight, you were given an axe and sent to the treeline to work or die.
regardless, in both of these situations, no orc with pride would ever stoop to manual labor when he could instead be slaughtering enemies of his clan in glorious combat.

  6. Ok I feel I must ask (I checked the comments a bit t see if someone else asked lol), why were the audio lines cut from Grom to say Hellscream instead, you mentioned how some were saying it's a motorcycle(labelling and copyright problem I'm guess) but it wasn't that, can you let the masses know the why so the Burning (crusade of) questions can stop 🙂

  7. Grant wtf, Grom isnt only one, Actually, Jaina too may become hostile, and mb some others too, i am not sure about that, but i remember testing Orc campaing quite a lot, because i love orcs, and well, as well, if i remember correctly, Grom is only one, who WILL destroy your BUILDINGS if you place them in his base.

  8. I'm a little sad we didn't get to see what, if anything, the heroes in the other bases would drop. But let's be honest, the real prize here was everything about the ending. XD
