As soon as you mentioned OBX, I wrote that book down! Wrote down Tell Me What Really Happened also. It did sound interesting. Been forever since I've been there, but oh yes, I remember those days! I do hope you like variety, I didn't love it like I was expecting to though.

Former fellow WOW addict here… LOL I had to give it up too. I almost exclusively read thriller and horror books. I would have argued with you had you told me I would read a Colleen Hoover book. It was the winner for November in my book club at work. It sounded interesting so I was like okay I'll be a team player and try it. Girl… I was hooked and left shooketh. If Colleen Hoover would switch to the thriller genre I could honestly say I would be a huge fan. I highly recommend it.

I didn't realize that you were talking about the same author at first, but I've read Sophie Verant before. I read The Secret French Recipes of Sophie Valroux and really liked it. There's also a sequel.

I haven't read book 2 in the Beartown trilogy but I recently brought The Winners because I plan on reading them both next year and yeah, it's a chunker which I wasn't expecting!
