  1. You left out the main reason PS2 sold so well, which is that it doubled as a relatively cheap DVD player. DVDs were the main form of home media at the time.
Also, I love your videos Arun! You're awesome!

  2. Don't get me wrong, I love the video, but I will not stand for the misinformation at 12:10
You can absolutely turn on the PS3 from the controller, I grew up with that console and turned it on that way countless times, and I also just double checked. You can turn on the PS3 from the controller.

  3. A noticeable number of sales of the PS1 was actually due to the superior CD Audio quality at the time. The PS1 audio clarity rivaled all serious competitors like JVC, Panasonic, Denon, & Philips. So people at home had expensive home stereos in their living and… that's right. A Playstation to play their audio CD's. Look it up it's true.

  4. Actually the "new" Xbox console at first did sell far more units than the Playstation 2 back on Nov 15th 2001. It's true. The Xbox had a stronger CPU than the Playstation 2. It ran faster and could out perform the Playstation 2 on gameplay experience. But how Microsoft screwed up was they did not cool the newer, stronger CPU's properly. Those CPU's got so hot real quick, within 2 weeks they stopped working. Some of those CPU's literally melted through the mainboard to the bottom of the case. No joke. So people were returning Xbox to the stores by the hundreds after Christmas day. So what else was there at the time? You guessed it. The Playstation 2 that came out a year and half earlier.

Because of Microsoft's screw up they missed out on a grand opportunity to phase out Playstation 2 off the map. True story.

  5. I chose Xbox One over the PS4 because the controller feels a lot comfortable on my hands? And I wasn't interested in any playstation consoles until PS5 was launch because of it's better quality for the PlayStation controller.

  6. I was a young adult when ps1 came out and have bought every generation when it was new as they came out. Every system I played also was a snapshot of how my life evolved growing up. I just recently got a PS5 about 2 years after it was released and I'm just as excited now as when I first got the PS1. I have been a gamer at the exact right age since the NES and now, at age 44, I am still just a big kid that loves video games. I have peers that like them too but they have evolved to be more mature family men and women where as I have stagnated my maturity around the time PS2 came out. The only system I haven't kept up with is Nintendo. Once Playstation came out for the first time, I never looked back. Even today I have no interest in The Switch or Xbox as much as Playstation. My elitist friends love their gaming rigs and I love PC gaming as well.

But there is magic in a console release.

    I can't explain it. I just love it. 😀
