I bought a new truck! (road trip home)

I have to say a HUGE thank you to Steve at @CharterTrucks for making this quick and easy! As usual, the whole crew there makes either buying or selling trucks seamless and easy from beginning to end. If you are looking for a truck(s), or need to upgrade your fleet and are looking to liquidate your older trucks to make room for new ones, I could not recommend Charter trucks more!
Check them out at www.chartertrucks.com

I also really want to get my Grandpa’s bubblenose back on the road. I would love to do something unique and out of the box with it and have been watching what the guys over at @EdisonMotors have been doing very closely. I think they are on the right track and have the most practical solution out there for this whole truck emissions thing. A setup like that would be perfect in an old truck like this

As far as this new truck goes, I’ve had a few Freightliners in the past and always preferred them over the Peterbilt/Kenworths, so I’m familiar with the @DaimlerTruckNorthAmerica brand, but this is my first Western Star and I’m really excited about it!

Be sure to check out our Patreon project where we use whatever it brings in in a month as our budget to help someone the following month! I was never a fan of the Patreon idea until I realized that I can use it to help others instead of myself, so I created the Patreon Project where we can all combine our efforts to make a real difference in people’s lives and make the world a better place! For as little as a dollar a month you can join the group of awesome people already on board and be vote to help steer the ship along the way!

  1. @CaseyLaDelle It was and is always good to have you come by. I do remember the first truck you picked up here was the 2004 #Peterbilt379 so you've been coming around for a while. In between then we always stayed in touch. I'm looking forward to the unveiling of the #WesternStar when it's complete! @chartertrucks

  2. Seeing your grandpa he's what you call the G.O.A.T. of trucking . The cowboy shirt the nice jeans and a good pair of boots . That's a truck driver . Those are the guys I looked up too when I started driving over 25 yrs . The guys you are seeing driving now in their shorts and sandals are not truck drivers . They are steering wheel haulers. Your grandpa is what every truck driver should look up too . Love the old cabover

  3. I bet your grandpa‘s got stories upon stories upon stories and I’d love to hear everyone of them. You need to get that man in front of a camera and just let it roll.

  4. California is screwing themselves with that CARB rule. Pretty soon nobody will want to run into Calif and someone will build a transfer station at mile marker number 9 in Arizona and the cost of goods in California will really skyrocket.

  5. Can someone please explain to me how forcing good running already built trucks off the road and forcing the driver or company to buy brand new " emissions compliant " trucks and all the raw materials it takes to make them is good for the environment???? Not to mention the one time use plastic def jugs and the terrible fuel economy and reliability????? Please someone make it makes sense besides being a massive money grab
