A Few weeks ago I undertook a quest to make money in FF14 Without playing the game! What transpired is one of the most entertaining exploit dives into an MMO Economy the world has ever seen!
3.4 Million FFXIV players made these goods and I'm going to sell them back them at quadruple the price!
As of a few weeks after we stopped recording the milk gambit ended up profiting just over 1 billion.
hahaha i did the same kind of thing in osrs when bots murdered the market and when the ban system came I sold all my items and had max cash in OSRS lol i was getting raw sharks at like 100gp and when the ban came in they went to 3.5k-2.5k ea the only down side was i had to make a number of accounts because they limited the amount to 15k per 4 hours lol

You probably do things like this in real life.
So ya I did this for years in wow to make money irl while playing instead of paying to play, minus the server trading part. Essentially I bought anything people needed to level up professions that were on lvling guides for the low to medium lvls that did not have a high quantity and sold them for 10x what I bought them for. As my money grew I repeated this process on bigger items like epics. In 2012 I was clearing about 10k a week whilst just keeping 10k to repeat the process. I made about 2 grand us in about 2 months doing this by selling the gold to Chinese gold sites that then sold it to other players.
The funny thing is I never used the guides to lvl my own professions that I also used to make gold because alternative lvling recipes always ended up being cheaper, even without my influence because the demand on certain items was always sky high if it was on the guide driving up the price.
Easy only did this for like 20mins a day, had fun and made a decent profit. At a certain point on my server if you wanted to lvl any profession you bought directly from me to get to 1-300. Wool cloth for 40g a stack sold on Alluance π€£
nothing new here, that's how I get money in these games… who has time to farm…

This is crazy, the market is obviously connected between servers, why don't they just combine them all directly?
As of April 23, that isnβt possible anymore. Theyβve patched it where you can only sell items on your home world server
