I would like to see star cluster based war against sentinels. like carrier command game in the 1990's. Races remains the same, conflict level changes to war. There is about couple dozens of systems involved. I am in command of one star system and am slowly wrestling the control over the map until sentinel influence in the sector is diminished. Control over system is taken by scanning, finding poi's and fighting. Enemy can also take system back. You can only push neighboring systems. More systems you have under control, more resources you get for the fight. Game remains the same, you can visit any system you like but war missions are only for systems you control.
As a new player i would like a better tutorial and improvements to the story quests.
I would love to see all NPC related to you can be customized, recruited and fired, which includes those on the Settlement and Freighter. With that in mind wouldn't it be great if u actually make your own settlement, whether you want multirace settlements or just specific race, placing settlement's building and facilities on your own rather than decided by game; and possibly building Freighter Hangar on planet (basically your freighter's crew and settlement's member are the same people, and now freighters can be pilotted)
Also more Freighter customization, which include more hangar, customizable cannon and shield generator placement, etc.
I strongly disagree with any form of update focused around pvp
I think they need to expand monstrosities as a crazy other faction that's feral. With different species. It's something else to fight then just sentinals
Hearing more about First Spawn would be great, I like the lore idea. Here's one of my own, my son hates it. Give us a buff for the different traveler heads we can use. Exchange them on your freighter for nanites. Buffs like, I can handle hot environments better with reptile head, or toxic biomes with the tree head and so on. But each time I change, it costs.
It would be nice to watch a video log of the frigate missions when they return, and ship customization
Yes sir. You nailed my idea. <3 I have more but I’ll share later. I love a lot of these ideas. My favorite being base visitor tracking and the mailbox! I would love to leave gifts for other players.
One of my favorite things to do in the game is fine and visit other bases. I make my own little bases near ones I really like. Just so they have a neighbor.
I just want more aggressive fauna, over 100 hrs on the game and came across only one that off hand tried to attack me. More variety in flora. Customize appearance for starships.
One of the youtube updates I dont understand is @name. I changed my name (cause its understandably easy for people to mispronounce) to Zanderfel, but youtube replaced it with my original hard to say name.
For the future, its Guy-Ran-Nun, and believe me, you are not the first & really will not be the last, lol.
Honestly it feels cool being mentioned in a youtube video, if you can believe it, I've only been mentioned in 3 videos on youtube (other 2 were for creepypasta channels).
One more idea that I have:
Starbase Construction – Remember when you first entered the Anomaly and the NPCs there kept mentioning who built it this place, and you you meet the Traveler who did? Well, imagine if that same NPC had extra activities for you to do, such as creating Starbases of your own?
Now the idea that I got for this one is a bit complicated. But basically, as the Player, you can create 2 different types of Starbase. One that is treated as your own Personal Starbase, that one you add Defense systems to it (it defends itself from Pirates, Enemy Factions, Sentinels, etc), Mining systems (Sends out little drones that mine the surround asteroid fields, will generate materials for you), Manufacturing systems (Set it to make things that your Starbase needs to keep functioning as well as other things you may need to upgrade the base and/or upgrade other stuff you might have), as well as a NPC Hub (Where NPCs dock, set up shops, where Guild reps can set up, etc).
Your Personal Starbase, is much like your Planet-side bases, you can make as many as you want, and design them however you wish.
The other type is your version of the Anomaly type Starbase. Basically, this one connects to the Primary Anomaly, meaning you can use a portal and walk there instead of having to fly in every time. But mostly its your "Gateway" to your Galaxy, and you can use it to enter other Players' galaxies for coop, sightseeing, whatever, but only if the player has a Gateway and allows players to visit.
The NPC Traveler who taught you how to build these Starbases will then have you go on missions where you can Transport your Starbase to specific systems, ones that can't be accessed by Ship. In those Systems are full of Sentinels & the other Xenomorph like monsters, there are no friendly NPCs in these systems cause they can't access them. But eventually, once enough missions are completed for that system (example: complete 10 missions for the Argos System) then it becomes accessible & a lot less dangerous.
More Power Options, We have uranium why not let us build a nuclear reactor? And a Fusion Reactor? just make it very expensive to build, that way players in late game when we have plenty resources we don't need to relay so much on EM hotspots theres nothing worse then finding a S class Hot spot but no EM spot is sight. making have use 50 Soler panels, or find another S class of the resource we wanted. RNG can be so cruel.
Also can the default radius for a base be caped at 1000U but you don't have to glitch build to get that 1000U?
While on the subject: A mark 2 resources silo. Having to use 30 of them so I don't have to check mine as often kind of makes prettifying bases an unnecessary chore. just make the mark 2s cost twice as much as the normal ones but give them double the storage
Speaking of making things pretty, would love the option to remove the cables inside the sentinel ships cockpit.
We need to invade player bases
I would like lock on / countermeasures for ship combat, 50 or so more radiant scripted events (battle between vykeen/pirates, rare items, item with a parasite of some sort, unique/ giant creatures, meteor showers, or anything else to break up the repetition)
Oh- also to arm and engage my own freighter in combat. Craft torpedo bays, anti frieghter and anti ship cannons, shields etc. Be able to comandeer better freighters by disabling them in combat or take the enemy cargo. We dont want our freighters exploding so the consequence of losing could be warping away with broken components / losing cargo/frigates.
Honestly, I'd just like to see some "refinements". Like fixing the rendering of objects, esp scenery. At times hit boxes, especially relating to ships, is often terrible. Let PC players "free look" in ships.
Adding more uniqueness to planets and environments would be great. However I think the amount of uniqueness and the hitboxes is a limit of the engine, not the development team. Simple things like being able to move away from a storm to a calmer area of a planet. Sure, some planets may experience "global" storms, but certainly not all should. Earth doesn't, I don't think any planet in our solar system does.
As a task or goal, they could even add in a simple context of go find and claim an "x type" planet, build a civilisation on it, make it firstly self supporting, then join the larger economy, then expand to cover the solar system it's in… then on and on ever bigger. Add in the need to assist neighbouring player held systems (at player discretion), or defend your own, Build alliances or (very limited to stop the toxic pricks who always ruin PvP ) conflict with other players. Just that would be never ending.
I think clans would be bad, take every game that use clans and inter-clan battles now as an example. You have newer players with lower grade equipment randomly pitted against clans of older hands who just seal club for fun and profit. It turns turn into toxic shitfights every time.
There's more than enough games around that already cater to people who want clan fights and PvP centric play. I'm a relatively newer player, and this is the first multiplayer game I've found in a long time that is relatively free of toxicity… don't change that.
While continuously expanding and adding to to game is great, don't forget it's already a quite big game, and adding more complexity may actually discourage new players. By all means continue, but somehow maintain the current "balance" that is bringing new players (like me) in

So I was just doing the weekend nexus mission, did the objective, went to the nexus, got there some dudes ship was spazzing out, it poked me, and I was in the wall, then I somehow figured out how to get out but now I was on the ceiling, so I consulted old reddit convo and they said there were holes in the wall, I go through one can't get on the nexus, I fall through the entire nexus losing life support rapidly honestly freaked out, decide to load save, I load save and it says that the nexus mission was canceled because you can only do them in one session, I was and still am fuming that I not only did the objective and went to the nexus but I didn't even get the 1,800 quicksilver, I believe there should be floating bar things indicating some kind of hole back down, yeah sure people could go on the ceiling but how often would they do that like there's nothing up there, anyway hope you guys don't suffer like I did.

Add Earth then A mission to find earth, no teleports allowed ..
I still would like to see some abandoned buildings to be like the derelict freighters where youcan gk into them and get good stuff and have new enemies etc.
