I really like that they gave that classic passionate energy to vampirism in this game (I mean, the interactions with Asterion may be subtle but they still have a pretty clear second reading). I don't know, I think the approach is interesting and the character is growing on me π
Oh, don't worry, the whole section against the witch was hard for me too, even at LVL 4. Between all the traps and all the resources I had to use, it was definitely something else.
Btw, don't feel bad, in these games you have to consider so many things at the same time that it's perfectly normal to feel that you are doing something wrong. It's a game designed for you to be a bit nerdy and play a role π The fun part (IMO) is in how each player portrays their character, and in your case it's really entertaining to watch (also, kudos to you for not abusing of F5 and F8 and leaving room for things to just happen). You'll keep learning, just keep pushing. You're doing great, Jackie! π
Finally, I'll give you a little "very advanced tip" (not really) about your inventory: if you find a backpack, loot it, but make sure you also keep the backpack itself. If you do so, you will be able to find it in your inventory and store items in it. This is useful because the backpacks can be used to, for example, store all the items you have of the same category (you can think of backpacks as containers to group items of the same kind). You can use as many backpacks as you want, and this is great so you don't have to, for example, split all your items into different boxes in your camp or have hundreds of random books all over your inventory π
Love the long episode π I will drop you another sorcerer tip: as a storm sorcerer, every time you cast a spell (lvl 1 or higher cantrips dont count) you can fly around with your bonus action. It shows up on the far right side of your hot bar..called tempest flight or something like that. This allows you to get away without getting hit with opportunity attacks or to get up to higher ground for good position.
FYI, the non-obvious thing about Magic Missile is that while it doesn't do a lot of damage, it also never misses. Combined with the fact you get multiple projectiles to direct (and more of them if you cast it higher level), it's really good for finishing off guys with small bits of health left. The fact it's multiple hits also makes it good for breaking concentration if an enemy has a spell that requires it, since each individual hit causes a check.
A little tip for managing your inventory. I usually send all the food I have to camp which you can do from your invetory. I can just pick it up in canp before I rest and then put it back so I'm not carrying 100lbs of food. I also make one person carry weapons I find and another person armor ect. That way I can organize and stuff. Hope that helps if you end up using that method
Another great episode!π Almost half way through and my highlights so far are 1. When you smacked the exploding mushroom with your staff π and 2. When you were briefly a fugitive at the grove! π
To save Findal you need to use a healing spell or throw a healing potion, not directly at him but at the floor close to him.
Edit: Use Shift+C to make the whole party to go stealth mode.
It is kinda fun sometimes getting up to no good, especially in a Game like this! Enjoyed the longer Episode! π€
fun video thank you.
