In this first part of my Baldur’s Gate 3 playthrough, I’m going in completely blind. I invite you to join me as we explore the game world and see what surprises await us. Will our party survive the dangers of Baldur’s Gate 3? Find out in this video!

About Baldur’s Gate 3:
Baldur’s Gate 3 is a role-playing video game with a single-player and cooperative multiplayer element. Players can create one or more characters and form a party along with a number of pre-generated characters to explore the game’s story. Optionally, players are able to take one of their characters and team up online with other players to form a party. Like previous games in the Baldur’s Gate series, Baldur’s Gate 3 has turn-based combat, similar to Larian’s earlier games Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin II; all combat is based on the Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition rules

  1. So glad you went back the Underdark and found the Kuo-Toa (fish people). 😁 They're one of my favorite species in the Underdark. It's too bad you failed the Nature check about them. Astarion's reaction to them worshiping you is great. Karlach has a really funny reaction to that scene as well.

Just a note about the Blood of Lathander on Astarion: His sneak attack feature only works with ranged weapons or melee weapons with the finesse property. Unfortunately, the Blood is not a finesse weapon, which means he'll be doing a lot less damage. Not trying to backseat, just giving information/clarifying mechanics. "What thoust will do with them, is for thee to undertake."

The idea of him trying to hide with a mace of pure sunlight on his back is amusing, though.

  2. Lol at 47:53 after you teleport to the Selunite Outpost, if you look straight ahead you will notice there is an open doorway across from you. Thats how you get to the area you missed in the Underdark.

  3. BTW, i think, in some ways, all companions story centers in one word: Freedom. From their believes, from their oppressors, from the past self. It's truly beautiful all stories converge to that. If you ever want to play again, Lae'zel romance its an great one.

  4. Hey Kim, you might want to take a look at Lae'zel's status effects. I'm pretty sure she got some permanent brain damage (debuffs) from the machine at the creche. You gotta convince her to eat a few tadpoles to fix it. It's great that you're exploring as much as you can. The game is filled with tons hidden content that most people won't ever see.

Some pickpocketing tips: The higher the cost of the item, the harder it is to steal. If you go into barter mode with the merchants, you can split the gold piles into smaller portions (200 is a good amount) it will be easier to steal. Anyways have fun.

  6. There are two exits from the Selunite Outpost, you keep walking past one of them. Besides the main exit which you keep leaving by, there is one to the left of that as well.

If the main exit is ahead of you, then you should see stone arches/windows to the left. One of these stone arches in more open than the others, and provides exit to the unexplored part of your map.

As to Wyll, you'll presumably want him with you at Moonrise Towers, given that one of your missions there is to rescue his father. But yeah, it's fun to switch out party members now and again. I'm also pretty sure you could've left either Karlach or Astarion dead, and later brought them back using Withers. If you can't afford Withers price, you can always get another party member from camp until you've earned enough gold.

Be aware that Astarion can't do sneak attack with a mace. He needs a finesse weapon, like a dagger. Shadowheart is a good choice for the mace, or maybe Karlach, Lae'zel or even Minthara if you manage to recruit her.

  7. If anyone remembers: doni is the kid in the grove that just grunts at you and struggles to look at you. I think he’s probably autistic and seems to be non-verbal, and I think it’s really awesome we can see how well spoken he is in writing because a lot of people assume non-verbal people are stupid or lesser then or something when they absolutely aren’t. Doni is a smaller character but he’s so cool and I love him.
