I'm having this debate right now. My stealth hybrid actually goes a little further than my 5 wood. Might have to get a 3 wood next year
Isn't a 3 wood considered 15 degrees?
ditched the 3-wood for a 5 with a 1 inch longer shaft that you can then choke down on when needed, easier to hit, distance is similar. nothing beats a hybrid out of the rough.
I find the hybrid add a very useful tool out of the rough and m or e importantly another option around the green
I love my 3, 5 and 7 woods. On a Par 5, use my 3 or 5 wood for my second shot. My 3 and 7 woods are ladies and my 5 wood, my husband didn’t like it so it’s in my bag. I use my 5 hybrid as a pitching wedge.
A 15 degree 5 wood; isn’t 15 degrees a standard 3 wood loft?
Just went from a 19 deg 3 hybrid to a 19 deg wood…. Wood much preferred
A 5 wood with 15 degrees of loft? sounds like a 3 wood to me.
Damn, if you hit your 5wood 260+ yds how far do u hit your 3? Also what golf shoes are those? Thanks
6 iron is my longest iron wich I can hit 170 180 then I have a cobra radspeed one length. 4 hybrid I can hit 180 at a slow swing and my all out I can get 210 and then for when I want to go for it I have a 5 wood that goes 220-250 . I can hit my 5 iron 190 but I’m more accurate just doing a softer swing with my hybrid so norm leave that out the bag
I may be wrong but having just purchased a Maverik 3 wood with 15 degrees of loft I believe the 5 wood you are using may have18 degrees of loft. Always look forward to watching your videos always helpful and informative.
I was told you compare a 5 wood to a 2 hybrid. I chose the 2 hybrid for me.
15 degrees is a 3 wood???
7 wood better easy than hybrid for sure
7 wood better accurate
Easy to hit l love 7 wood Senior must hit 3 wood make game easy. Happy new year
I like u r compare.
I carry a 5 wood, 5 hybrid and a 5 iron. What a mess.
How is that called a 5 wood with 15 degrees when a 3 wood has 14 or 15 degrees! Also what is your swing speed on the 5 wood in this video to get 242 carry?
5 wood all day and learn to hit a 4 iron
Wouldn't a 5 wood be about 18 degrees? You say your 5 is 15 degrees that's usually a 3 wood
Nice video. What about the so-called rescue aspect? Hybrid better that Wood from the rough stuff?
I use a driver, a 3-wood, and a 16° 4-wood. Works for me. I have a 4-wood hybrid/rescue wood but I could not hit it well consistently.
5 wood all the way!
I really think it depends on the courses you play…. example; bad roughs or deeper grass use Hybrids. short grass roughs or links course roughs use fairway woods. Overall the hybrids are usually easier to hit due to the shorter shaft length.
Good info but 15 degrees would be a 3 wood, not 5. Test against a 19 degree 5 wood, more inline with 3 hybrid.
I’ve never had a hybrid before, but hot woods really well for a long time. I’m interested in trying a hybrid.
White shafted putter looks pretty slick
15* lofted 5-wood is strong.
That 5 wood has 18 degrees of loft dude.
I dont carry a 4iron. My 5 is a 21° stealth. I use it for punch outs and a can carry it 220 but never straight 😆. What do you guys think about that 5i, a 25° 5hybrid and an 18° 5 wood?
5 wood off tee
3h off the ground
I feel like I use these clubs when I get out of position a lot and a hybrid works better for me out of the rough
I have a ping g425 4 hybrid. It's an absolute life saver as a 25 handicapper new to golf.
I find hitting my 5 and 6 irons consistently is pretty hard. But I can get a nice easy 180 from my 4 hybrid and it's far more consistent. Great club to progress the ball up the fairway on longer holes. Really does save a few shots for me each round.
