If you read how much the Cathayan units killed, it adds up to 21, meaning 1/3 of all your units killed (10) were done so via friendly fire, probably the Blunderbusses when they shot from behind.
about the labor and control thing : don't sacrifice for control, sacrifice for extra tower influence. Trust me, this makes sense
The less surplus labor you have, the less unrest it generates, so it's a net gain anyway…. BUT you're in a race to fill out the tower as quickly as possible and some of those buffs are incredible, so rush the tower influence first. basically all your surplus labor should be sacrificed for influence as soon as possible if you really wanna min/max things

I would love to see Astragoth dominate over the entire map as an industrial hellscape. I feel like this map would be the best to try and do a challenge such as this one, immortal empires would be too much to handle
I'm not sure if you know this or not, but you can actually add certain units to military convoys to have a little more control over their composition. You can add heroes easily by parking one near the convoy spawn point a turn before they leave, and then moving the hero into the convoy when they show up. It would be useful to have a caster in them! You can also add Regiments of Renown while they're in your territory, and you can add Ogre mercenaries if the convoy is within range of the camp.

auto resolve pls, its a easy crappy fight.
Yesterday, I brought the Chaos Dwarf DLC, it made huge changes to my game, like run a bit smoother, everything in the Dark Lands reminded me of Mordor, but hey before I brought the DLC, I was on the High Elf faction, I wanted to try unite the High Elf Kingdoms, but I failed when one of my "Allies" ended up defeating a faction I was allied to, and now I face a Civil War on Ulthuan.
I think ur settings have changed so it highlights buildings are units green when selected u didnt use to have that on
When convoys get the option to add more units, do the units stay with that army forever, or do they reset after the journey/mission completes?

Also in that second to last turn there one of the alerts was for a Slaneeshi faction Entrhalling something but I don't know if it was something of yours or a minor faction. Something called Gharhar but I don't know who or what that is.
