What is Low Budget Gaming ?
– My aim is to help you Game as cheaply as possible.
– I try to find the best deals available for games on PC on Steam, Epic etc. or through Bundle Sites like Humble Bundle, Fanatical.
– Also cover the big sales like the Steam Summer/Winter Sale in-depth with a Live Stream and multiple videos.

Who Is LBG ?
I am an older gamer who has been gaming on and off since the days of the Sega Mega Drive. Got back into gaming a lot more in the last decade with games like Assassin’s Creed II/Far Cry 3 and also because other forms of entertainment no longer appeal to me. I prefer trying out all sorts of games. I am most fascinated by unique Indie or AA games like ‘Return Of The Obra Dinn’ Or ‘Greedfall’ or ‘Vermintide 2’ but will also happily play more mainstream titles like Resident Evil 2 or Shadow Of The Tomb Raider.

  1. I feel it's best to have multiple Humble Bundle accounts. Because after many months of inactivity on one of my older accounts, I got a special offer for a 7$ subscription for 3 months (7$ for each month, for 3 months, but you can still choose to unsub if you want after the first month). I got this offer last month and I continued to get the current bundle also for 7$. Unless the next month's bundle is shit as well, I'll buy that too. Cost me Rs.602 for all those games and that's a nice price for these games.

  2. I think this month's Choice didn't really have a lead 2 and instead was mostly equivalent quality/interest for all games, they're all generic/ spiritual successor games that people would be interested in because they like the genre more than because the game stands on its own.

Biomutant is a generic open world action game, Jurassic World a generic zoo tycoon game, Edge of Eternity a generic JRPG, Hero's Hour a spiritual successor to HOMM, Rogue Lords is a generic Rogue-like, Demon Turf's is a generic boomer-shooter derived platformer, Golden Light is a generic horror rogue-lite with prop hunt elements, and finally Monster Crown is a generic version of Pokemon.

I don't know if I'll keep up my choice subscription if this is the format they stick to, financially those games are often times harder to find discounted OR can be found dirt cheap, and at the same time it'll be a gamble that every month there is enough niche games I'm interested in that I can't buy for pennies on the dollar.
At least with the 2 big names + chaff format I could be pretty sure that the price of subscription was worth it and even if one month the choices weren't great I could always pause and be reasonably sure that next month something I'm interested in would be available.

That's not even mentioning how over the last few years they lowered the number of games and stopped giving out as much DLC with the games or even discount for them.
At this point a lot of Choice's value comes from the Humble published games being free to play, but it's not like they'll be able to make a Signalis every few months either, most of the times the games they put out are ok, good at best but nothing special.

I think at this point us Choice subscribers are like the proverbial frog being boiled alive, slowly getting less and less value but not noticing because it happens over the course of years.
In my opinion it's still worth it for now, but it's also time to look at it seriously every month and drop the subscription if the value lowers any more.
