A technologically superior alien race, the Fukkan, invades Earth, seeking to harness the planet’s unique atmospheric conditions for a powerful energy source. Their initial attack, meant to cripple humanity, unexpectedly backfires due to a bizarre human quirk. Humans are completely immune to the Fukkan’s devastating energy weapons, which instead cause uncontrollable fits of laughter. The would-be invasion turns into a galactic farce as humans dismantle the alien fleet more out of curiosity than aggression, ultimately turning the Fukkan into an empire-wide laughingstock.

  1. I built a weapon in a game thinking of how awesome it would be. It turned out to be a as powerful as a magnifying glass concentrated light on a cloudy day. That weapon, which took some farming to build, I kept till today. I even spent resources to jazz it up and for it to be custom named. It is christened, "The Tickle Beam".

  2. Worst thing an alien species that has the ability to use telekinesis to do with a human is to try and reach into our minds…they won't enjoy what they find there.
Their minds will be flooded with everything we as a species keep locked away in our subconscious.

  3. Reminds me of Alan Dean Foster's "The Damned" trilogy, where humans turned out to be completely immune to the Amplitur's psychic "suggestions." Not only that, but their instinctual fear response lashed back and ravaged their minds in response.
After listening to the whole thing I can tell it was written by an AI. It's got all the hallmarks. ALL the hallmarks. But at least it wasn't narrated by one!

  4. A good story, but it should have ended at around 15:34, before it fell into all the "kumbaya" sh*t. You blew an original and very amusing tale, by lapsing into a totally unnecessary and story killing philosophical lecture….. (time to sack your editor I reckon)

  5. Humor is a powerful weapon. This is why all authoritarian regimes attack it ruthlessly, labeling it as extremism and terrorism. Because in a way, it is. Not extremism or terrorism against the masses, but against tyranny. Laughter disarms fear. Fear, is the biggest weapon of any authoritarian regime.
