Admiral Crassik had already said that the military was using the game for their officer training, I bet they were watching the strategies being used by the best players and teaching them to the officer cadets. They will have seen the interaction between Amanda and the Hidden fleet's admiral proving that the strategies were necessary.
I'd love to see a follow-up to this story in which an Admiral Parker brings an Earth fleet from out of nowhere to save Krassic's bacon when the Galactic Council faces an "unstoppable" invasion by something like the SG1 Replicators.
