  1. Pretty sure Rotom Heat will go back to UU. The only reason why it wasn't being used there was Rotom Wash. Now that Wash has went back to OU it's pretty likely that UU will do what it normally does, look to the second best Rotom form to fill that niche.

  2. Honestly I think if a few specific mons were in the game they would dominate the tier. Most definitely any magic guard Mon. Gholdengo and garganacl have abilities close to the effect of magic guard and they are dominant threats. Alakazam with magic guard + life orb would no doubt be an excellent attacker with terra fairy and stab dazzling gleam.

  3. As a casual pokemon fan who likes watching poketubers play the game, I'm fine with great tusk being #1 instead of something like Landorus-T. I always disliked such an ugly design being the highest played OU mon.

  4. I've thought power creep has been pretty bad the last few generations, but this gen its been so absurd I think they literally need to release a patch update to every single mon ESPECIALLY pokemon prior to gen 6. Nothing can compete, literally everything in gen 9 is broken even the pikachu clones

  5. Bax didn't fall off, ladder is just dumb. Same ladder spamming mid mons like Ceruledge and Meowscarada while great mons such as Iron Hands and Skeledirge get lower usage than they should be getting. Sigh.

Bax won't last in UU. Waaaaaaay too strong and just fast enough. And fat.

  6. couple of thoughts/impressions:

    – great tusk being so common doesnt bother me anywhere near as much lando t being everywhere. Hes just so much more fun to use and easier to play against despite being so good.

    – I think there’s still some sleepers lurking in the lower tiers but theyre also waiting for OU itself to solidify.

    – I think hard dedicated tera is a risky playstyle that has yet to develop but could end up being relevant. Basically right now teams are built for tera’ing based on context but some mons may be able to shine with a dedicated decision to tera it asap (e.g. a pokemon is amazing but held back strictly by its typing). Basically people dedicating a team around a dedicated mon that will always tera could be interesting.

    – This meta in general has been an absolute blast. Building and battling is just way too fun right now without at all being as anxiety inducing as trying to predict an enemy z-crystal

    – Orthworm and Skeledirge need more respect

  7. I am impressed and scared about the idea that 4 600BST pokemon are in UU (mainly because of typing.) Is there a sand team in UU now, or is that just copium from me (I wanna use TTar well…)

  8. I’m also looking for people to add who wanna have fun 6v6 battles where we use are favorite Pokémon and teams no BS meta boring stuff please let me know if your interested. I’ve been playing Pokémon since I was a kid in the 90s with red and blue I’m 31 and I remember challenging kids on the play ground and friends with my link cable and we would use are favorite Pokémon and teams and our own strategy not some stupid bs meta garbage copy paste team that you don’t even like the Pokémon it just helps you win that’s so dumb.

I’m a dragon type trainer and I’ll gladly challenge anyone who wants to have a fun 6v6 battle with no meta aloud my FC: SW-4479-9492-9493

  9. Aren't they just going to soon be relegated to the UU Banlist? There are exactly 4 Pokemon in UU now with 600 BST, Tyranitar and 4 Pseudo-Legendary Dragons. And if you sort by BST, basically everything with 570+ is either a Paradox Pokemon or Legendary. I just don't see them staying in UU when their power level is dramatically higher than everything below them. TL;DR: The tiers changed based on usage but don't expect to actually see these in UU for long.

  10. The fact that Weavile, Slowbro, Blissey and Magnezone dropped that low is not surprising. Many Pokémon tend to drop a lot when a new Gen gets released. Look at my man Toxicroak, OU in Gen 5 then NU in Gen 8.
