Ukraine has carried out a missile strike on the port of Feodosiya in Crimea, damaging a Russian warship.

Russia’s Ministry of Defence said the large landing ship Novocherkassk was struck and damaged by Ukrainian aircraft carrying guided missiles.

The head of the Ukrainian Air Force claimed its warplanes had destroyed the ship.

One person was killed in the attack, according to the Russian authorities in Crimea. Several others were reportedly hurt.

    During the week, Russian troops repelled 34 attacks by Ukrainian forces in the direction of Donetsk, the opponent's losses amounted to more than 1,675 soldiers, seven tanks and 13 armored vehicles, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
