  1. Does the TCL have 2.1 hdmi and if not can it do 4k at 120hz? also please tell me where you got the stand for the TCL, finding one with a 850 x 400 vesa mount has been hard for me (can't wall mount in my situation) Thanks for the work and review.

  2. Love your content but I have to say I've never understood why TV comparisons are done on size and not price. I also don't understand the brightness thing.
This was also apparent in the TV shootout where Sony won but not by miles. Except for the price of a 65" Sony you can get a 77" LG which will always be the better option unless you need a small TV.

Both TVs are the exact same brightness in SDR and most of HDR within a 1000 nits container (so all streaming HDR). If the LED is brighter its because its setup wrong. I get this can come down to personal preference but if you view SDR content too bright and out of spec you'll get used to it meaning HDR content looks terrible to you as most of it will seem too dark. That's even true on the OLED if you run SDR at 100%.

I'd much rather see TVs compared on price. Such as compare this TCL to whatever size LG OLED to can get for 5K. Does image quality or size win? And compare this LG to a 25K JVC projector on a 100 inch screen. Does the projector have any advantages at this size or at that price point at 100 inches is projection now dead for pure image quality?

  3. Even from a YouTube channel, it's easy to see that the TCL can't compete with the LG. Anyone saying it's close are the ones that will also say a Soundbar is as good or close to a dedicated audio system. Hey if you want big and that's your budget, cool. But the Oled is hands down better in every area.

  4. Why do ppl want a tv that large? Are your eyes going to see it differently, to show off and say you have a 90+" tv, or money is itching ur pockets? A little 50" or 65" oled/qled is good enough, 75" max.

P.s. I'd go oled for gaming
    qled for tv / movies

  5. Hi B the installer. I am seeking some advice. I recently bought an 86 inch QNED TV. Happy with TV, however there is two very tiny what looks to be dead tiny black pixels. One in the middle of screen and one to the left side of TV. Those are very small and cannot be seen from normal viewing distance of around 8 feet. As they are so small wondering if is worth the hassle of returning such a huge TV with packaging and having to unmount from wall again. Is it likely that replacement could also have dead pixels ?

  6. I need your urgent Help! Or anyone who reads this. Only deals at my BestBuy that are left are these 2 TVs & I can't decide which 75" is best.. 75-Inch LG 80 Series QNED or Samsung QLED Q80A ?

  7. I have the 98 inch QLED in my living room.

You can adjust the picture even better and get more out of it, Black level 45
Local dimming high, Low local contrast
    And a few other things.

There is also a game mode

  8. 25,000$, which I’ve actually been saving and willing to pay. UNTIL !!!!!!! I saw the cheap AZZ plastic remote!! I WILL BE WAITING ON SONY AND ILL PAY THE SONY TAX WHEN THEY BUILD A 98. So now I am back to waiting. For the bedrm I went ahead and bought Sony A95K to get a feel for it. The remote tells me everything I need to know about the rest of the build quality. It’s a FKKKING TANK. Metal remote. Backlit buttons. Ect. Also the screen for center channel is incredible

  9. MY SLEEP APNEA VASTLY IMPROVED WITH OLED. My doctor suggested to me that I turn brightness way down at night and walk around the house with nightlights only in hallways ect. It worked. But the tv itself was still very bright. Only OLED worked to impact my sleep rythm less. According to Fitbit comparisons

  10. The TCL is so bloomy and hard on the eyes. But that one extra inch makes it dwarf the LG. How can just one inch do that????? I’d still never buy another led unless they make one with 1000’s of dimming zones

  11. So the TCL will impress your friends who don't know better. But someone who really cares about picture quality will see the difference. But I wouldn't be able to justify 5X the cost.

  12. Not a fan of tcl and roku built in products. Had a bad experience of having a roku rep randomly call my phone to talk about my setting and you need to run roku to run a your tv. I prefer LG and Sony.

  13. Thanks for comparing these two models – I wasn't even aware that the 98" TCL R754 existed on the market until I watched your video! Could I justify paying $25K for the 97" LG G2? Seriously, no. So if I was interested in buying a flat-panel TV that was almost 100" in size, I would definitely choose the TCL. However, there is no wall anywhere in my house that can accommodate a 98" TV! But I could absolutely see myself spending $1,696.99 for the 55" LG G2 (which is actually the biggest TV I can fit in my home). Two features of the G2 I like: perfect viewing angles and a future-ready ATSC 3.0 tuner. Still, there's no denying that for those who want a 98" TV the TCL R754 is a HUGE value (and it's also much brighter than a projector).
